This is the first album I got.

My dad bought it for me when I was 7. :D

I had the pleasure of being exposed to Green Day through this album.

eh...does this even need a thread?

Well I'm being a killjoy so I'll post my memories. :)

It must have been January 2005?! I'm really not sure on this...Anyways I had been in town with my cousin and we were bonding over our new found love of Green Day (well, we got into them in August of the year before..so not real new) and I had only the American Idiot album. Trust me, I wanted the rest but we don't have the money to just magically get a whole back catalogue. So anyways my cousin tells me that her friend had this and that she burned it for me and I could collect it from her house when my mom dropped her home that night! I was soooooo excited! :D I still remember how excited my 11 year old self was! :)

So at the time we had this portable cd player in our car (rip cd player & yes our car only plays tapes..) and I put it on straight away, as we left her house.

I remember hearing little Billie Joe and then Maria came bursting in. It was just so amazing. And I remember it was pitch black and having a car was still a kind of new experience to us (we only got a car around then) so it was so nice!

And I think it just got half way through Longview when we got home. so I reluctantly left the car but then I put it on at home straight away. :) What an incredible collection of songs!

I still have that burnt cd today. I literally still don't have the real cd since I can't afford it - but I'll get it one day :)

Happy anniversary International Superhits! - You made my 11 year old self very happy and still do. :D

So Poprocks and Coke was completely brand spankin' new when it was put on that?!

I love that song so much.

and Maria and Jason Andrew Relva <3

Happy Anniversary IS :D

I LOVE this album! When I fell in love with Green Day, right after American Idiot was released, this was the second (well, the third) album I heard and I got to know songs which most of them became my favorite... I remember that I had it borrowed from my friend and I wrote all the lyrics from the booklet on some papers and then just sang them all the time :D

This CD makes me think about the old times, when I was like 12 and just became friends with the best friend I've ever had -- thanks to Green Day <3

I think it's a pretty good album as far as greatest hits albums go.

Not that I can remember the last time I listened to it.

Wow, this was the first GD album I got so I guess it's my 8th anniversary of being a fan as well! This deserves ice cream *raids the freezer*

I remember seeing the advert on MTV2 (which, if I remember correctly, we'd only had for a couple of weeks) and thinking, 'hey, I know that song... I like that song... I didn't realise it was by Green Day...' Then I pretty much went straight to Tesco and bought it, and bought their back catalogue with my Christmas present money that year, and lo, an obsession was born :D And everyone in Sixth Form thought I was mad, but meh! to them.

This was the second GD album (after AI) I listened to. I pretty much loved it and started looking for the records those songs were originally from :) /grammar fail/

ill always love this album because this was my first album i got when i was 8 and it was my first real chance to get to hear green day.

i was always asking my dad to buy me a GD album. i even recomended insomniac but they all said parental advisory on it so he said no. and on one faithful morning the company forgot to put a parental advisory stciker on ISH and now i have that same exact album from when i was 8. it makes me happy knowing i loved green day at that young of an age :) this album was basically the foundation i grew up on

poprocks and coke - its the sweetest song ever

I love this album. I think I got this a little before or after I got American Idiot in 2004. I really can't remember too much, but I remember one night I was at a sleepover, and I had to sleep on the floor, and I accidentally cracked the case with my head as I slept on it

Don't forget Maria you guys...

Poprocks and Coke is ace too...

I got this in June this year and it was my first GD CD with older songs.

I was always a fan of Green Day, but this is the album that really did it for me. It's the one that I bought and listened to for 2 or 3 months straight. It's not my favorite or anything, just the one that put them up as my favorite band. Poprocks and Coke is in my top 5 for their best songs. I love it so much!
