rocknrollrefugee Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Right, well. I've never been to Wembley or London before and neither has the person I am going with, I was just wondering if people are willing to have a meet up on Saturday the 19th really early in Manchester to then get the train down together so we don't die and get lost haha. Also, does anyone have any ideas on what hotels are cheap and close to the Stadium? I know it's like agesssss away, I was just wondering and seeing if anyone wants to help me and my friend from not dying in London lol thanksssss
Radioactive1 Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Heey, I'm from the Manchester area and I'm going to Wembley and Manchester with my mate. We're driving down to London on the Friday, checking into a hotel, getting to the arena early on Saturay morning and staying in the hotel till Sunday. If you go into google and just type in hotels near Wembley arena, shit loads come up. I should warn you though, a LOT of them are already booked up. I was having a mini heart attack yesterday because I was worried we wouldn't get a hotel. Then someone in the thread suggested looking outside of Wembley cos a)it's cheaper and b) you can get a tube to the arena without any problem. So we ended up in Chessington travelodge. It's costing us £30 each for two nights which isn't that bad (£60 altogether, when the ones for Wembley were like £144). My mate used to live in London and said you can pretty much get anywhere in London in a short space of time cos of the underground.Hope that helps?
