shoegazeloser Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Guys, it can be much worse. Kid Cudi is as good as hip-hop artists can get. Would you rather have Soulja Boy team up with Green Day or Kid Cudi team up with Green Day?

Sarahnade. Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Hope not. I'm sure Green Day aren't super anxious to do it either, if they even know who he is.
Jimmy Strummer Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 C'mon, guys. Quit being so closed-minded. Yeah, I despise hip-hop as much as anyone on here, and I bet Green Day does too. But Kid Cudi said it's not like he's gonna sample Green Day and rap over it. And I get the feeling he also meant he's not gonna do something like re-sing a part of a Green Day song and make a piece of shit out of it (like Lil Wayne did when he completely destroyed the opening line to "Basket Case"). He said it'll be a collaborative effort. Green Day would definitely have a say in it, and knowing Billie&Co., they would work with Kid Cudi to make it considerably less hip-hop but with some elements of it in there. I don't see it as a bad thing; I see it as a new opportunity for something new and interesting to happen.

Brian Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Wow that would be a terrible idea. Its like adding ketchup to ice cream. It just doesn't go together.
