Maddy. Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Do you have standing tickets? If so, you'll have to be there pretty damn early to get to the front. If you want to get to the front, you'll have to watch the supporting band.I don't know if you're allowed to bring water in. OMGITSABOMB maybe?
BuriedInAHole Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 As my concert was, you weren't allowed to take waterbottels or anything other to drink and banners in.You needn't to see Prima Donna, you could come whenever you wanted.

At the front.2. No, but you can buy water inside. 3. depends on how long you're willing to wait. the earlier you're there the better. 4. You don't have to watch them if you don't want to. They'll let you in later as well.

Yeah, at "my" concerts it was on the right and on the left side of the catwalk... not in the front, more in the middle... like 5th row.2. Nope.3. I think you should be there at about 2pm, maybe a little later.4. You can come whenever you want, but if you have standing tickets and you wanna stand in the front, you should come early.

Yep! It's usually a few rows from the front. At the show I went to, it looked the roughest at the end of the catwalk.2. It depends on the venue. I'm pretty sure at our show we were allowed to, but I know many other places don't allow it.3. It depends how badly you want to be at the front....but i say the earlier the better! haha.4. If you want a good spot, probably. But I'd highly recommend you watch the opening band, Prima Donna's great Although no, you'll still be allowed in after they go on.Hope you have a GREAT Time!

Fun time 2.Nope!3.In the morning.4.No, but you should if you want to save your spot on the floor.
Princess Consuela Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Hi, welcome to the forum If you want to know anything about the particular show you're going to you can ask here Have fun!
04rebhop Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 1.There is usually moshing everywhere, but it isn't so bad towards the back. I think it's usually rougher in the middle. 2.I think it depends on the venue. At the one i am going to they make you pour drinks into little plastic cups if you are standing, but if you are seated you can keep them in the bottles. I think they just have to be purchased on site. 3.I'd try and get there for at least four/five if you want a good place, and they usually keep the doors open, because of people who buy drinks and such.
BraedonHorbacio Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Theres gonna be poeple bumping into you and pushing you everywhere on the floor. The closer you are, the more of it there is. I was right at the front and im only 14, so your not gonna get killed or anything. People look out for each-other. Exept all the phony tough guys who just go there to show off.
E!!i Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I was on a Green Day concert on October 5 this year in Cologne, Germany. It was the best thing I've ever experienced! I had a general admission ticket and I was very close to the stage, in the third row, right. And Billie & Mike often came on the right side of the stage and so they just were a few meters away from me.
brokenlovesong Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 1) Well, I've only been at one show with Green Day. I was at the front row, and there was not really moshing, just a bit jumping up and down, but prepare to get crushed, cause people are careless..2) No water, unfortunately. But I get the point, it's for the safety for everybody. But most places there are free water in the front rows, and you can buy water in there. 3) I was there Thursday and the show was on a Friday. But I am pretty obsessed though.. of course it's your choice when you will be there. It's just a matter of where you wanna be inside. If you wanna be in the front row you need to be there early, but if you don't really care you can be there whenever you want to. 4) Prima Donna are cool. I think so, but I'm into Alice Cooper too, so don't take my word for it but personally I think that any opening act is a part of the show, the experience, as a whole. I would never miss an opening act, cause I think they are a part of making the night unforgettable. If they suck you can laugh at them for years after, and if they are cool you might have found yourself a new band to listen to for years on. But it's all pretty much a matter of who you are, what you like, what you can take. If you are very "fragile", and can't tkae the moshing and jumping you should probably hope for some kind of balcony or something, cause in that way you can see and still wont be in the middle of "the beast". but if you are tough and are willing to do everything for the music, and the show, you should be there in the early morning and run to the front row as soon as you get in and just jump along with the crowd. Just, for God's sake, remember to get alot of water, and if you feel bad, tell the guards to take you out, or it can end up extremely bad.You are a part of making the show unforgettable.I hope you have a great time. I'm sure you will. It's Green Day, of course you'll have a great time
