karma1215 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Here is a new interview given by Billie Joe Armstrong in the SFBG Music Blog.He talks about the American Idiot Album and what it meant to him and the play followed by more blah, blah questions about politics, and healthcare etc. Here is the link: feel free to discuss.http://www.sfbg.com/blogs/music/2009/09/am...green_days.htmlOpps... I made an error with the title... that's what 8 hours biology lab work will do to a person. Mods Please fix if necessary.Thank you
insomniaticnimrod Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 i wonder if Billie ever gets tired of answering the same questions lol
Mar Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 i wonder if Billie ever gets tired of answering the same questions lolI sure would it's such a fine line when you're interviewing someone, especially someone who's famous: you have to ask all of the boring technical questions because they're so important to understanding the subject and why they're relevant because you do need to give people background on the person in case they're unfamiliar with them or their work. Yet, you're dying to ask questions that are different and unique...but you have limited time and space!
alaniluau Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Thanks for posting. Always good to read Billie interviews. I wonder how many y'knows they had to edit out.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 ^I am sure he never said that.....hahaThanks for posting!

karma1215 Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 You are welcome It wasn't the you knows that I was worried about ... I think iI was more concerned with his ability to have a potty mouth. He just opened his mouth and let it rip... here at least he sounds intelligent. The author didn't make him out to look ignorant.
JHyena86 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Good read. I especially enjoyed this bit:Like I said before, you can’t autograph a download -- not that I’m asking anybody if they want my autograph or anything like that! But there’s something about an album ...To me it’s like when someone writes a novel, you want to touch it. You want to feel it, you want to put it somewhere where it can collect dust, then pull it back out, and blow the dust off, and play it again. It’s something that goes on. I have albums I’ve had since I was 14 years old. It’s just something I prefer, you know.I agree with that. I love albums, vinyl, CDs, books...I don't like digital so much. Glad Billie agrees.

I love when I can have like an album or a book in my hands. It feels more personal, whereas downloading something from the internet makes it not special anymore. Art is very special and to hold art in my hands is now a unique experience.
Mar Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 lol yeah Billie's a trooper, if i was famous, and someone asked me a question i answered a hundred times already, i would prob be like "idk google it or somethin"one price to pay for being famous is being asked the same questions in almost every single interview lolI pictured Billie saying this in a whiny voice like the sister in Knocked Up does when she tells Paul Rudd's character to Google something  As an aspiring journalist, I realize how frustrating it can be for the interviewee and the interviewer in situations like that.
Kaddi. Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Thanks for posting.I love this part, cause this is exactly how I feel: To me it’s like when someone writes a novel, you want to touch it.
