I think EJN could be 5th single, because they're going the fast song, slow song, like they did on AI

It was KYE, then 21guns, now 21cb, and it should be slow song, recording to that.

that's an odd way of putting it

I don't think there will be a 5th single though. If there is, it's going to be something that's almost under the radar like Jesus of Suburbia was.

YYEESSS!!

i really like this song. :)

i hope they do it in L.A and this time i hope they say where they'd do it.

(know your enemy=looking everywhere in downtown. not cool. )

I just made my whole family run into my room asking "WHAT?!! ARE YOU OKAY?!!" from me screaming. I don't think I've screamed about anything by accident since the concert.

Kind of surprised it wasn't EJN. I'm sure it'll still be a single though, it'd be a sin not to.

I still think that if Green Day do EJN as a song release off the album, John Roecker should do it.

I am happy about this - I love the song, and I think it's a good choice.

I was hoping Sam Bayer would show up again.

^

I never EVER thought I would say this, but I agree with that. Maybe with a time restriction and a no-cheesy-dialogue clause tho.

I was right!!!

i'd heel over in happiness if that were to happen. unfortunately knowing him, most stations that air music videos wouldn't touch it due to controversial topics

they had to go safe and use 21stCB instead of EJN, which im okay with, but still is a step back.

I like this choice, either this or EJN were the best for IMO...

Haha!

I agree. I really liked his work on their videos, though. All of the videos off of AI are really good, I think, and I like his work on BIAB too. I'm not a big fan of Marc Webb's stuff, though.

FINALLY A GREAT SONG AS A SINGLE!

I've been praying for that one and Restless Heart Syndrome.

I'm starting to doubt EJN will be a single, and that depresses me.

YES! I KNEW IT!

Good choice, it's one of my favourite songs on the album. I hope the video is a good one!

Well, I did like the first couple Beyer did (AI was awesome! and how could you beat Holiday?! Tre in a dress, ffs!), but then he just went all big-headed I think and imo, went 'too much' with September.

Marc Webb did which videos for them before this album? I want to say Waiting, but I'm not sure.

This video better not disappoint. It's too great of a song to have a sucky video.

Exciting! I was expecting "East Jesus Nowhere", but I'm honestly happier with this choice.

I was really hoping that it would be EJN, but it's a super problematic song for American radio. I'm sure they got all kinds of radio exec flack over it. Plus, someone in a thread said they heard a version of EJN on Last.fm or something where the words were completely changed and it didn't go over too well.

I love 21st Century Breakdown even more after seeing it live. It's a great song, but I swear, I hate the video to 21 Guns and I'm kinda surprised they are going with Webb again. :( Sorry guys, that's just me. I really hope it hope it's a good video.

Wasn't seeing 21st CB being as the next single with all the talk of it being EJN but nonetheless. awesome!

I just hope that the director nails the video right. Can't wait!

I concur, but i'm pretty sure that they'll release EJN in the future...

BTW, I'm in love with your ava xDDD

WTF, why'd Courtney say EJN was gonna be the next single? o_o

BUT HOLY FUCKING CRAP 21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN IS THE NEXT SINGLE --- FUCKING A. :D :D :D

Great choice of song, maybe this is what they'll do at the VMA's

I hope so!

I'm so glad to hear this.

:D
