Storer Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Hi everyone, I'm new here so please excuse me if this has been posted before I've been looking to buy a "Blue" replica for quite some time now and have had no luck. Today I found a website called gdguitars.com but unfortunately there was no option to buy one. Basically I just want to know if they are available to buy anywhere or if there are any certain specifications to make your own. I live in the UK so sites with international shipping would be ideal. I appreciate any help with this, Thanks!
SlappyDJ1 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 the website on the homepage says they have it for sale.
Storer Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 They do indeed but there's no paypal or anything like that

Storer Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 I've actually just found out I can make my own for around £90! I'll post pictures at a later date when it's finished!
Jet Taman Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Hey,I'm the guy who sold the guitars on gdguitars.comI don't sell them anymore because they don't make that model of guitar anymore that has the blue color and the maple fretboard at a decent price. I'd have to pay about $600 for a Strat that has the specs and most people aren't willing to pay that price (or at least that's what I've noticed). The only ones I can find have a rosewood fretboard which Billie played for a brief time.I have improved some of the stickers and the wear and tear on them so they are an improved model, but still have the rosewood fretboard. I sold one in the summer who went ahead and bought a separate neck and switched it out.If someone was willing to pay up front for one then I'd be happy to turn it into a BJ guitar.I just sold one on ebay and I might put another one up in a while....
alexandrez Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Just sent the email, have you ever seen a replica that someone has made?My friend has a perfect replica.

laurabobaura Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 When I was making a copy of the busted up black stratocaster that John Mayer plays, I went here: Guitar kit. Only thing is you have to cut the headstock to match a fender headstock, which isn't a big deal. Find a drawing online, and then buy someone you know with woodworking stuff. For "Blue" you'd have to cut the pickguard and body to make room for a humbucker, and you'd have to get some paint that matched fender's chewed bubblegum "daphne blue" color. And you'd have to get a JB humbucker. All told, I'd bet you'd come in under $300.And then sticker and beat up to taste.
Jack96 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I have, some guy on youtubeyeah ive seen that to
Storer Posted September 2, 2009 Author Posted September 2, 2009 So, how much would the one with a rosewood fretboard cost?

fatherotti Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I think the only problem you'd have is not finding a guitar model like "Blue"but the stickers would be the major problem as they dont make em any more......good luck finding a "Geek Girl" sticker
Greenday_Aussie Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Whos the idiot who started the rumor that Billie doesnt use the original Blue onstage anymore? He only uses two, the Original...and the clone (with the Rosewood fretboard)
