Billie looked shocked and we sang it at least 20 times till he finally started singing along with us And when I drank Billie's beer ...there are way too much amazing moments!

fashionvictim86 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Of course I loved all the concerts I've been too, but what sticks out in my mind is when Billie was doing Words I Might Have Ate and Give Me Novacaine at the July 21 Philly show.As for moments when I wasn't there, I loved it when I was watching them on MTV's New Year's show in 1998, and Billie was drunk singing Time of Your Life, and he just stops and goes "I am so fucked up right now." on live tv. My friend called me, he just left for the marines and he was at a hotel room that night, and he was like OMG Courtney did you see what fucking Billie Joe just did!

I wrote about it in my recap .^^^haha, wow I was just about to post that, then I saw that you had gotten to it before me. I just thought it was the most awkward, but funny thing. I was too far away to see properly at the show so I thought he got tangled up in his tie.He was trying to take of his tie, and it was dangling behind him because it was tangled in the wires. Then when he tried to get it untangled, it just kept getting worse. Finally he had to unplug everything to get it off! So cute!!!

One of ´em was definitely the DNA show when Billie brought Davey Havok on stage to sing "Going to pasalacqua" with him. One of the best moments in my life Well, technically, all the Green Day shows I´ve been to so far were great moments and went down in my own personally history. Hearing "80" live was completely amazing, hearing "Coming clean" and "Burnout" was a fantastic moment, meeting Billie and interact with him for a second was great too. Meeting other Green Day fans is a great experience as well!I think the best Green Day moments, if anything can top the April shows, are yet to come...and I can´t wait Oh, I forgot the Independent show. Even though I couldn´t go inside the venue and be an actual part of the show, it was affecting to hear them play "Welcome to paradise" right at the time when I could relate to the song the most. I´m glad I recorded that moment cause that made my entire day, week, month, year!
J'net Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Wow, Green Day puts on such great live shows, and I've had so many wonderful personal experiences that it's hard to choose. The "I'm stuck" moment mentioned above is definitely one. Going back to the shows I've been to this year and just picking some off the top of my head:Watching them run out on stage at the Bowery - my first ever Green Day show. Tre playing Dominated Love Slave at the Bowery while Billie played drums.Billie taking my sunglasses, singing a line or two of Stop, Drop, and Roll, and then talking to me and my son for about a minute in the middle of the Webster Show. Also, Billie announcing that Jason Freese had just become a father (after announcing the night before at the Bowery that he was going to become a father any minute). Tre bounding around with the toilet paper in Central Park!So many of my friends getting pulled up on stage in Seattle (and Billie wearing those guitar sunglasses I took for him).Billie pulling Mikey and Christian on stage in Vancouver and having so much fun with the scarf I brought him for King for a Day.Sharing the Philly show with so many great people and watching their faces during the songs - and looking at Cheryl when Billie started to play Novacaine and both of us choking up .Billie pulling Sara on stage in San Antonio and her sweet stage "dive."Listening to Macy's Day Parade for the first time live in St. Louis and crying (I'm not a crier at concerts - this totally took me by surprise).Realizing that Billie was starting to recognize me in Kansas City when he brought back the scarf he took from me and made a point of making sure I got it (also seeing the look on Maura's face when she showed me the kazoo he gave her). And the way the crowed ROARED when Billie said that someone backstage told him the loudest crowd they'd ever had at that arena was for the Jonas Brothers and asked if we wanted it stay that way.Having Billie talk to me during the San Jose show and sing me Mother Mary. This has to rank as one of my top three! And LA - well it was just full of amazing moments - Billie singing part of Tight Wad Hill for Ross - Billie pulling me up on stage to supersoak the crowd - Tre giving me a drum head at the end of the show.But honestly, every Green Day show is SO full of wonderful memories. That's why I can't seem to get enough .I'm going to the same show as you, too, so I hope to meet up with you there!

Congrats I got excited just reading about those, haha. seriously, awesome!I've only seen them once, unfortunately (although that will change next year!) but it was the best night of my life. Everything about the show was great, but i think my favorite parts would have to be Billie Joe wearing my sunglasses, high-fiving Mike, seeing Tre sing Dominated Love Slave, and just being able to see my favorite band in the whole world doing what they do best, i felt so lucky just to be there. Have fun in October! You're gonna LOVE it.

He was so funny.He comes over from the catwalk and in his stage voice goes "This is what Im gotta need".
