On GreenDay.com a video of American Eulogy has been posted on the news page.

The song is cut down to 1:25 and features live footage of the song with the album version audio...

Check it out here: http://www.greenday.com/site/news.php

(Sorry, I don't know how to/if I can post the embeded video)

Anyways sorry if this has been posted about already, I looked and didn't see anything.

So why do you guys think this has been posted?

Will it be a music video?

DVD?

Just a nice video for us to watch?

Or something else...?

Enjoy! :)

Personally, I think it's really cool and it's done really well but I can't see AE being a single. Although I do think it is coming up to the time when they'll be announcing the next single. Remember when they finally announced 21 guns would be a single and they just posted the single artwork instead of writing it out...? This is similar.

I don't think it's there just for us to enjoy but I can't think of what it could be used for. I doubt for a dvd since it's not the live audio...

Ideas?

Oh and does anyone know what show(s) the clips are from? Does anyone spot themselves in it? Has anyone heard any rumours about what this could be? Did people notice any of the shows they went to being professionaly filmed?

Oh shit! Really?! I'm being so dumb, sorry. I was wondering why no-one had posted about it...but they had. xD

Where is this other thread?I can't find it because I'm a lousy mod.

I don't know all the shows used in the clip, but I think Pittsburgh is one of them. I'm 1,000% sure of it.

Technically, there isn't a thread just for the American Eulogy video. But it is, however, being discussed here: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/Forum/ind...showtopic=71519

Really? Heh, I thought in was being discussed in another thread in the GD Chat section. Maybe you're right. Sorry... :D

Lauren, were you trying to be funny or did you actually do that by mistake?

Aw! I'm guessing you were at that show? Awesome! :)

Yep, I was. The reason why I'm sure Pittsburgh was included in the video is because there's a kid who is wearing this purple wristband in the video, and at the Pittsburgh show, every person on the floor had to wear one. I still have mine, and it looks just like the one in the video. And parts of the video look extremely similar to the Mellon Arena. I can't point out other arenas/cities, because I wasn't at any other GD concerts for this leg of the tour. But I'm sure anybody else who went to other GD shows on this leg might be able to point out their arena/city in the video.

EDIT:IT IS FROM TAMPA!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm... it's a bit random for them to post that video, don't you think? It wasn't the whole song, it was the recorded version being played over live performances... I'm really curious now! The guys don't do ANYTHING without a reason.

I hope it's an upcoming DVD! Yay!

Great clip. Brings back memories. Yeah, I hope they spin this tour into a DVD kinda like BIAB... I thought I heard somewhere that they might do one from the Fox Theater pre-tour warmup show in Oakland.

You need to un-stick your CTRL-V, m'dear. :)

Back on topic: Nowhere in the AE vid did I see your Ernie puppet. I'm bummed!

hmm, that's kinda random. but its cute, especially the parts with tre "conducting"... I have absolutely no idea if the show i went to was shown. it's a little hard to tell I think.
