Jet Taman Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 First off I apologize if this is not in the right forum/section...I know it's another band and all, but c'mon, no matter how much they deny it, it's Green Day for cryin' out loud...I am currently watching their live DVD right now called "Disease is Punishment" and it is the trippiest thing I've seen in a long time. I'm SO glad I don't do shrooms anymore because I think I would have to go outside and take a walk and clear my head.Has anyone else seen this??
Kryssi. Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Yeahp. Roecker did a mighty fine job with the DVD, might I add.
Kryssi. Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Yeah, it's been out on DVD since 2004.oh and it's DEFINITELY worth watching.
Sarahnade. Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I saw this at an FYE, but I didn't buy it.Obviously, I hate myself for that.
Supermodel*Robot Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Is this something you should watch while the parents are out the house?
Guest Shangri-La Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 i don't like how he filmed it over 2 nights... if you've seen it enough times you suddenly realize some parts of their outfits (like mike's hat) change throughout the show.Is this something you should watch while the parents are out the house?no! there's nothing like that in it, except maybe the music video for Hungry Hungry Models. but barely. it's just two girls innocently eating a banana..
Kryssi. Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 There's footage from the sound check and the performance in the evening. That's why they look different, as to the stage and camera angles where you can see that there's no one in the room.

I kind of want it, but I never knew if it was worth the trouble of ordering it in.
Jet Taman Posted August 8, 2009 Author Posted August 8, 2009 Yeah, and I just want to clarify I'm talking about the actual live DVD not the Money Money 2020 DVD. It's been sitting on my DVD shelf for a while and I am just getting around to watching it and I am loving it.I actually like the back and forth subtle changes (like Mike's hat). It's done in a way that it actually is kind of fukking with you and in my *ahem* "altered state" right now, it's blowing my mind.
Kryssi. Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 ^ There's only ONE live DVD out there of them. We know which DVD you are on about
Fink Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Great DVD. I love it and have been loving it since it came out.
Fink Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 im watching it now on youtube and um, wow. trippyYou haven't seen it? Aww...
Fink Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 nope. ive been meaning to for about five years now hahahaYou know, you could have told me that about 5 years ago and we could have rocked out to it together.
Eldoon Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I own a copy of this, got it when it first came out off of Amazon or something...I love it - it's a very re-watchable live DVD!! In fact, I think the cuts between the sound check and concert footage is pretty clever...definitely not as jarring to me as some of the crazy edits Bayer put in Bullet in a Bible (although that's also a great live film.)
JohnnyNapalm Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 all i have to say is i fucking LOVE that dvd. like theres nothing like it, its soooo buzzy i agree with you there! i brought it 2nd hand for like 5 dollars. BARGAIN! best thing ive ever seen. im pretty keen on supermodel robobts, and i like how the dvd also has the music videos on there... they are pretty buzzy also!
RebelofSuburbia Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I just recently watched Disease is Punishment again after a long hiatus and I'd forgotten how awesome it is and was kicking myself for not watching it more often
