Marie_GD Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 08-04 - ROLLING STONE VISITS GREEN DAY IN PHILLYRolling Stone stopped in on the tour as it hit philly. Check it out:
Angela. Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Fucking hell, an article about Pittsburgh's show would have been awesome... But this article is pretty cool. For some reason, seeing Billie's comment, "I just don't want to let anybody down," bummed me out. He pushes himself so far, to the point where he bruises himself, just to push GD forward and make us happy. That's a lot of dedication.
Juju Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 holy cow. that interview is going on my wall as soon as i get it.
saffy Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Thanks for posting, i've liked the story about the bruises
Brian Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I want at least one Rolling Stone with Green Day...i missed the one where they were on the cover...
*Whatsername-is a-ReBeL* Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 wow that wouldve been great to see! Even better if i was the girl onstage, losing myself in the song that my favorite artist wrote and my all time favorite band performed.....and better yet touching the same microphone that Billie Joe did.... and i wanted to have the Rolling Stone magazine where GD was on the front, and the one with Billie Joe on it as a single.

farley drexel hatcher Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 i hope billie realizes hes definitely not letting anyone down, hahaYeah, and still people complain about not getting the right songs or whatever. I don't think a lot of people realize what goes into it.Also off topic but it looks like he's sorting out a wedgy in your signature picture XD

He pushes himself so far, to the point where he bruises himself, just to push GD forward and make us happy. That's a lot of dedication.I almost went to that Pittsburgh show. But, I agree with you. That quote is a bit depressing, yet enlightening. To know he's still pushing his physical health 20 years into his career just to please an audience is very admirable. When I saw him live, I thought he was going to pass out because of how insane he was behaving. He seemed fine, though, like nothing effected him, and maybe he's just so used to dominating the stage, he's become immune to the effects. I don't know. I'm glad he works so hard just to make his fans happy, but I sometimes worry that he's going to get seriously hurt on stage or get really tired out. Hopefully, everything will be fine; it probably will be. I'm a pessimist, though, so I can't help but wonder.Anyway, the article was well written, and I enjoyed the pictures. The cover with Barack Obama is amazing too.
Nova-Caine Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 They drink Stella - great minds think alike ! God I am getting too old for Stella 4 pints yesterday and I felt so drunk Great article thank you x

HoneyDo666 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Billie never could let us down!I love that their hardwork pays off by the gazillions! I need to get this issue so this article can go on my bulletin board!

He certainly didn't let me down at the Pittsburgh show. He helped make that the best night of my life. I just worry that BJ is pushing himself too much sometimes.I need to get this issue.
eighteen Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I bought a subscription to rolling stone but of course the first edition I'll get is the one after this! I'll have to go see if anyone even sells rolling stone in my lame town.. The scans look sweet..
