But it's more likely that MTV will want them to perform a nominated song, and I imagine 21 Guns will get at least one nomination. I'll be happy any way, but a "new" song would be pretty cool, and while I do believe parinaz is right in Billie's loose use of the term "epic", I could see a pretty epic EJN performance in my head!

t_tot Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Boo, Russel Brand and Pink again this year, I like the variety :down: And I think Billie Joe meant that nobody really knows what's going to happen at the VMAs besides the people involved and that whenever they perform there it's memorable for them. Although if that quote was chosen for the reason of hinting at them doing something no one expects then I'm all for it I also like the medley idea, maybe they'll make everyone think they're just going to play KYE or 21 Guns and then partway through they bust into an oldie or EJN or something, oh man now I can't wait. Anything they do will be great and worth waiting for

But yeah, I agree with you...I just hope that even if the song choice isn't "epic" and different", their performance will be (then again, when isn't it?)!
