KaitlinEatWorld Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Ok,So I got this thing from verizon that includes access to the soundcheck and an autographed prize from the band. I was wondering if anyone else has got this too? If so do you get to meet the band and go backstage and whats the prize?

mad hatter. Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 This is the exact same thing as everyone that has gotten into soundcheck has explained. I was talking to a Verizon guy in Hartford, and he said that there's a list of people that have verizon that they choose off of for every show to get into soundcheck. You do the whole soundcheck thing, go back to the VIP room with the others and get food and drinks, and then the people picked off of the list rather than getting the passes right at the venue get specially autographed things mailed to them. He handed out the passes without checking your phone or anything. I have AT&T and I got in.But in order to WIN your way in and get autographed stuff, yeah you do.

When I was in Hartford, a guy with black hair came out named Chris. He had a good 15 passes or so and gave them out. Not sure. You're the first I've heard of to actually get in by winning/knowing someone that won. When the guy told me about the list, I thought he was lying cause I had never heard of it before then. x]The list, idk exactly how it works. All I was told is that Verizon has a list of people for each show that they pick [of people that have Verizon] to get into sound check and get free autographed stuff. But apparently, from what I've heard, they mail it to you.

Any more info on thatFrom Chris? If it's the one I'm thinking of, he's a total sweetheart. I think everyone that gets in adores him x]The VIP room differs from venue to venue. My friend Leah got into soundcheck in Boston and said they had only candy for everyone to eat. In Connecticut they had chips and salsa and candy and drinks and stuff and today my friend told me that they had dumplings and stuff in the Madison Square Garden one. They let us play Green Day's new songs on Rockband and took pictures of us with our passes and stuff. Basically, we got to chill right above the arena for a little while.Connecticut kinda screwed us over and was a little late, but they to let you onto the floor before anyone else so you can get any spot you want on the floor, or go to your seats if you've got those.

I've been reading about them giving out passes to people with Verizon phones to get into the soundcheck before each show. But am I correct in understanding that Verizon is holding contests before the shows? How is Verizon selecting winners? Do you have to enter, or are they picking people at random? If anyone knows anything at all about the contest (or whatever it is) please let me know! Also, I know about them picking people the day of the show, so if anyone could clarify the other way to get into the soundcheck, that would be the most helpful.

If you wait in line, I'm pretty sure you NEED a Verizon phone to get in. If you wait by the bus, as far as I've heard and seen, you do not.

Also, if anyone knows anything at all about getting soundcheck passes before the day of the show (like the person who started this thread evidently did) please inform me.

Theres a bunch of other people that were in line with me that got them too and there are pix there as well.

You MUST have your tickets when the lady comes around. So make sure you get your tickets right when Will Call opens.Don't ask me how to get in the afterparty. These people were in the after party so I don't know how other people got in.........besides me, J'net, and Andres of course.
