Jimmy Strummer Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 So this user on YouTube, skiddle or something, often posts covers of rare Green Day songs (he does a really good version of "Minnesota Girl") and one he does is a song called "What About Today," the existence of which I was unaware. It sounds good, except for the guy's voice. Then a user commented on the video and said that it's actually a song by a band called Brent's TV who was an old band signed on Lookout! for a while. I've tried to find a version by either Green Day or Brent's TV, but I just can't. Anyone know about this and where it exists (if it does)? I wanna hear it!PS. Apparently, it's in VH1's Behind The Music: Green Day, when Billie's playing a song at his high school talent show, but it's like 20 seconds.

Guest Shangri-La Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Brents TV is an old punk band from the bay area. they used to tour with green day.edit. apparently i'm a little slow. it's originally from the berkeley kalx interview. Brents TV is extrememly hard to find nowadays. i've tried looking in various record stores in they bay area but no luck.
Nova-Caine Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 http://lookout.littletype.com/group-category.php?cat_id=3475Always try lookout records directly or littletype. Even if something is currently out of stock email them ask if they know when they'll be able to get it or can suggest an alternative.x
