Another Side Project?

The speculation over Billie doing a solo album has me thinking about whether or not they'll do another side project, and what style they'd use. There are some pretty odd ones up there, but I also left quite a few out.

Here are some examples of each type of music:

Punk: The Ramones, The Clash, The Sex Pistols

New Wave: Duran Duran, Culture Club, A Flock of Seagulls, The Network

Electric Rock: Nine Inch Nails, (some newer) Linkin Park

Garage Rock: Foxboro Hot Tubs, The Hives, The Strokes

Progressive Rock: Pink Floyd, Rush, Genesis

Hard Rock: AC/DC, Velvet Revolver, Three Days Grace

Glam/Hair Metal: Poison, Twisted Sister, Warrant

Grunge: Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam

Post Grunge: Foo Fighters, Puddle of Mudd, Creed

Ska Punk: No Doubt, (I don't know of many bands that stick with this style, but it's just punk rock with trumpets and a more melodic sound. NOFX has some ska music out)

Something We've Already Heard From Green Day: Not really meant to include side-projects, but a likeness to earlier material.

If by 'another side project' you mean 'more fabulous Foxboro Hot Tubs', then I'm all for it

But anything they do would be cool. I remember that day I heard about FHT it was the most wonderful and unexpected surprise ever, after The Network it never occurred to me they'd do anything else like that, much less something so totally brilliant. I'd love to be surprised like that again one day

I love the side projects they already have, not sure I could handle another stint of feeling shit cos I know I'll never get to see them :/

I want something completely new! At the same time, though, I'd love more of the FHT or The Network. It's amazing how talented the guys are in all the different genres. I can't stand new wave, but somehow The Network really pulls it off. So I'd love to see them excel at something different. If they do create another project, I'll be the first one in line for the show.

Oh, and I'm anxious to see what new name Fink/Billie Joe/Reverend Strychnine Twitch comes up with for himself.
