The lyrics booklets are different than what he actually sings a lot. He sings a word that definitely starts with the "lay" syllable, the second half of the word is drowned out by the music, but I'm almost positive it's lazy.

Unless there's another fitting word that starts with the "lay" sound. o_O

also in the lyric but it says that in the last chorus he says "Im slipping away to paradise" but for the life of me I KNOW he says tripping away.

Sorry to sound so over overzealous but it really always bugged me that the booklet was wrong.

You obviously know more perceptive people than me, because everyone I know and have known has always sung lazy, or breaking. I've sung lazy, breaking, AND lonely. I remember when listening to it one night I swore it was lonely, but somewhere along the lines I decided to stick to lazy because that's what I heard the most. I never thought to actually confirm what the hell I was singing. Lol.

Now I'm going back to lonely. :whistling:
