Brian Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 I was too pumped to remember what songs were played before hand.

TheBullwinkle Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Silly Guuse That's Not New!Yeah, but you said any era, '93-'09, and anything made in '93 isn't new, goofball.
deadair Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Some of the 1997-98 era audience shot videos show that "Whip It" by Devo was played over the speakers before the concerts. San Jose 1997 and Paris 1998 are two examples I can think of.
Deathwish. Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 I got no clue. I was playing tetris on my cell phone because I knew they be a bit.
Tripe Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 I distinctly remember at the AI show in Dayton, they played "Hey Mickey" by Toni Basil during the wait between opening band and GD. It surprised me, but people can't really help but bop along to that song. And someone wrote somewhere in a recap that they played some Michael Jackson songs before the recent shows, the ones that happened right after he died.
TatorNuts Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Last night, they playing some Joan Jett and Kiss. The Drunk Bunny came out and danced to Michael Jackson and Queen. Lol.
Captain Pasalacqua Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 I remember California Uber Alles by the Dead Kennedys. I was rockin' out to that one.
Bassgirl_1984 Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Interesting topic...I find it funny to hear what bands play before hand. It seems like Green Day actually plays some decent stuff...ususally its ass for some reason :/
Jesus Of Suburbia 95 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 They played YMCA for a few shows on the AI tour

Angie-Marie Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Stuff that I remember from before the Detroit show:My Generation by The WhoDo You Remember Rock and Roll Radio by The RamonesSurrender by Cheap TrickWe Will Rock You by QueenDancing With Myself by Billy IdolWe're Not Going to Take it Anymore by Twisted Sister
Eldoon Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Last three shows I've been to by them they've played "Cherry Bomb" by The RunawaysPast shows I remember them playing a lot of the above mentioned songs plus "Rebel Girl" by Bikini Kill (apt since Kathleen Hanna sings the intro to Letterbomb and all, not to mention "Kathleen" by Pinhead Gunpowder!)at the Detroit show tonight I noticed:"Top of the Pops" by The Rezillos (awesome choice!)and a whole other slew of female-fronted punk songs I couldn't keep track of, but I'm pretty sure it was some Avengers and X-Ray Spexalso: "Suburban Home" by The Descendants was played after The Bravery's set, they played all the songs Angie mentioned, plus "I Fought the Law" by the Bobby Fuller Four (not The Clash version, surprisingly, but probably because they played "Should I Stay or Should I Go," natch.)As I was leaving the show, I noticed that they played "If the Kids Are United" by Sham 69, which was also pretty great.
RebelofSuburbia Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I remember Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones and Fight For Your Right by the Beastie Boys from when I saw them in 2005
