Anja Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Scans (just some lousy photographs, I don´t own a scaner) If anything is unclear, I can try and get a better photograph: Page 1Page 2Page 3Page 4Page 5Page 6It´s an really interesting article and reveals some facts about their past, how they used to live and how they live in Oakland now. I haven´t read the whole article yet but I think for those who care about their private lives, it might be an interesting read from what I´ve read so far. I´m going to translate it later.
Nele Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Ah, danke. Ich hab alle Läden abgeklappert aber keiner hatte diese verdammte Zeitschrift. Dann musste ich sie bestellen. Sollte doch hoffentlich bald ankommen...Naja, jetzt werd ichs lesen. So, I'll stop rambling in german now.
GDM Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Hmm... those are the same pictures as from the American Rolling Stone interview from about May/early June. I wonder if it's the same article, only in German? Check before you go to the trouble of translating?

My semestre of German back in the 80s won't help a bit with any translation, though.

SOMERTEN Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Scans (just some lousy photographs, I don´t own a scaner) If anything is unclear, I can try and get a better photograph: Page 1Page 2Page 3Page 4Page 5Page 6It´s an really interesting article and reveals some facts about their past, how they used to live and how they live in Oakland now. It's not so much their private lives but I love reading articles that gives an insight into the band as people, rather than another interview about what type of bloody drum kit Tre uses! Look forward to reading it.
Kaddi. Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I don't know if Anja is translating the whole article now, but I'll just give you some facts... they might have been in the American article though, I don't remember it.- Butch Vig said that Billie sometimes reminds him of Kurt Cobain, because they're both very ambitous- Billie got up every morning to see his sons before they left for school when he worked on the new album- he was the assistant-trainer of the Little-Leage Baseball team- he has the photo of GD and U2 on the Abbey Road in his living room- Joey totally freaked out when he listened to 21st CB for the first time- he would like to record Green Day's next album in China and he wants Mike to write more songs- he also wants to do more acoustic songs, to try how quiet GD can get without losing their power- Mike likes to walk into his garden to look for coyotes, foxes or lynxes- from is patio, he can see the whole Bay of San Francisco-when Tre started to play with Billie and Mike, he thought it was difficult to find his place in the band, because the two of them were like Paul and John... today he thinks, Billie is both, Paul and John
Boston Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 ^ Yeah, all of those facts were covered in the English version of the article. Thanks, though.
Kaddi. Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 ^ Yeah, all of those facts were covered in the English version of the article. Thanks, though. Ah okay... so, I assume it's the same article.
Lauren Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 It's the same as the American one? hahahahha FAIL. Germany is late on things.
Kaddi. Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 It's the same as the American one? hahahahha FAIL. Germany is late on things. It's just the German Rolling Stones... it sucks.
GDM Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 It's just the German Rolling Stones... it sucks.Well, Rolling Stone in general ain't so hot, either. Don't worry, it's not just the German edition! And I have a subscription to RS, too.
Anja Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 It's the same as the American one? hahahahha FAIL. Germany is late on things. The Rolling Stone is late on things, not Germany I compared like the first page with each other and everything was exactly the same. So it´s pretty obvious that it´s the same since it was even written by the same person. I guess we don´t need this thread anymore;)
