chibirobo Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 im making a slideshow about a vacation to hawaii.what song do you think I should use?welcome to paradise seems the most obvious, but..im open to sugesstions
Blu Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Last Ride In might work, unless you are looking for a song with lyrics.
Lauren Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Use Good Riddance. Everyone's slide shows use Good Riddance. Espionage! It's a good surfing style Hawaiin song!
Blu Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 holiday! Just because the song has "holiday" in it doesn't make it good for a vacation slide show. Lyrically, Holiday wouldn't work.Use Good Riddance. Everyone's slide shows use Good Riddance. My slide shows never include Good Riddance. Good Riddance is a sad goodbye song, not a 'look at these awesome pictures from my cool Hawaiian vacation' song.
Lauren Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 My slide shows never include Good Riddance. Good Riddance is a sad goodbye song, not a 'look at these awesome pictures from my cool Hawaiian vacation' song.I know that! but a lot of other people don't. It's played all the time at weddings like it's this happy song, but it's not! i went to a wedding and they used it as a slide show for showing pictures of the bride and groom growing up.
Sharmellow Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I agree with Blu, you should do Last Ride In.If you want one in lyrics, go with Poprocks and Coke.
rage-love-life Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Esponage or Last Ride In.Ones with lyrics: Castaway (it has a nice vacation feel) or Welcome to Paradise.
Juliette Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 How about Christie Road? Cause it's about getting away from your everyday life to that "special place" sorta ?Though I do agree with Espionage
Anja Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Esponage or Last Ride In.Ones with lyrics: Castaway (it has a nice vacation feel0 or Welcome to Paradise. That would be my choiced too. Both instrumentals have that sort of caribean/hawaiian flair. And Castaway and WTP would fit lyricially in my opinion.
Angela. Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I agree with Juliette, go with Christie Road if you want a GD song with lyrics. If you want one without lyrics, go with what others have said and use Last Ride In.
chibirobo Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 i like welcome to paradise's riffbut i dont know if the lyrics are appropriate...cuz its likepay attention to the cracked streets and the broken homesand alsoa gunshot rings out at the station...
thisisAB Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Maybe an instrumental version of Welcome to Paradise? But I'd go with Last Ride In. Espionage would be good but I'm thinking it's a little too fast.
Hermione Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Hehe I actually heard Last Ride In on some holiday TV show once. Espionage would be great because it has that kind of Hawaiian surfer twang to it. But I also really like the idea of Castaway or Holiday because they would make me smile . Don't care if the songs aren't really about holidays it doesn't matter! Come to think of it I think I've heard Holiday on holiday shows before with just the word 'holiday' left in Hmm I'm saying Castaway
Katarina. Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I'd choose Last Ride In!But if you're not looking for something instrumental, try either Castaway or Welcome To Paradise
chibirobo Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 does anyone know where i can find an instrumental version of welcome to paradise?on youtube there is one listed as instrumental, but it still has the vocals; theyre just softer
Rave Kate Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Once I Had a dream that I got green day concert tickets, i was so damn excited! But then I woke up. See I can't even watch green day in a concert even in my dreams! I cried really bad that day.
elisa Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 hahaback on topic, i agree with everyone who suggested Last Ride In and Espionage. Welcome to Paradise seems a nice choice too (:
.Brian Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Last Ride In, Castaway, Welcome to Paradise, Espionage.
emmaILGD! Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Castaway. But I think Hearts Collide has a kind of Hawaiian feel to it aswell, especially the solo.
