Right now the site looks like it's up, but some people are still having problems posting. Just to let you know, the team over there have deployed the technical monkeys that should fix it. Hopefully it'll all be sorted soon.

I`ve emailed the site admin and hopefully it will be sorted out soon. I`ll pass on any news I have as and when I get it. always happens on a weekend doesnt it! lol

netty Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 depends who you talk to. and if you talk to anybody on a forum or not. some people like the idiot club. some dont. just the fact that you have to pay to be a member is galling enough for some people. any way, thats not why I asked Andres to post this info. its just to let members know that the mod team at least is aware of the problems. and if the powers that be would just check their emails..... we might get this sorted.

But I don't regret it at all, it lead to me getting to go to the Fonda show and the LA Meet and Greet. I really like it for the contests, and there are interesting people to talk to on here and on there. Though the number of active people on IC (in my view) went down a lot after the album release and the pre-sales.

mary_x3 Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 i think the idiot club is worth the $20. i got my tickets on the presale and it was such a relief to get them early and not have to worry about tickets selling out before i got mine. also, the contests are great. i wouldn't have met green day if it wasn't for the idiot club.
shaye Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I like the forum, even if member activity is nothing compared to what it is here, but being from Australia and missing out on pre-sales etc makes it kinda suck. But oh well, it's only $20. I probably would've spent that on alcohol anyway..
GDM Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I didn't register for the IC until after GD were here in NYC. I kinda felt guilty about trying to snag tickets since I was a johnny-come-lately. I did join the Bowie fan club for about a month when he did his "Five Borough Tour" here in NYC. But I was determined to see him, since I love Bowie and had never had the chance to see him before. He played at the Queens College auditorium, a venue for 2000. It was the most surreal experience ever. But I can now die happily since I've seen him... though not before I see GD this month. Anyway, I just tried to post a thread on the IC asking about the disappearing NYC thread, and got the dreaded debug mode. It's still hyperactive over there. Someone was trying to sell a ticket for the 7/28 show and I asked about it earlier. I pm'ed them, but I'm not sure that it went through with all of the issues there. I think I need a beer. I'm a member of the Church of Lushotology on Facebook. I need to worship now.Later, people.
