Dai. Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Discuss anything related to this song here.I like it a lot. I think this one and Hearts Collide should have been in the album. They're much better than some of the songs that are there, in my opinion.
tapdancingowl Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Hmm, I think the album is pretty perfect as is, I don't think the B-sides should be on it.That said, I do like the song, especially this verse:"And I'm losing track of timeIn the corners of my mindAnd I'm living out my private suicide"It's very reminiscent of my life.
Ally Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 ^^ yeah exactly the same herei like this song a lot, beats hearts collide anyway!
OliDayyy Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 It's currently my fav song I especially love the line"I lost myself in the space between heaven and hell".It reminds me of American Idiot, with the drums.
Jacinta Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Hmm, I think the album is pretty perfect as is, I don't think the B-sides should be on it.That said, I do like the song, especially this verse:"And I'm losing track of timeIn the corners of my mindAnd I'm living out my private suicide"It's very reminiscent of my life. For some reason I mentally heard those lyrics to the tune of Brainstew
Princess Consuela Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I didn't like it first but it grew on me and now I like it a lot more than some songs on 21st CB.
Juliette Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I listened to this & Hearts Collide once and I gotta say they just didn't stick in my head, nor did I find them that good. Maybe another listen will change my mind but meh.
Teenage Kicks! Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Every time i listen to this track im like "DOOKIE DOOKIE DOOKIE THEY STILL GOT IT!" Haha
Muttweed182 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I like Hearts Collide more but this song shows all the old Dookie lovers and AI haters than they still got it. Good song though it gets me excited.
Tiffx Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Should have definitely been on the album. I'm sure a song like Last of the American Girls could've made some room.
*_kiwi_* Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I like the song, beautiful words *-*"I lost myself in the space between heaven and hell..." love that
tapdancingowl Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 For some reason I mentally heard those lyrics to the tune of Brainstew Holy shit, Jacinta lives!
NowhereBound Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I think this song is soooooooooo AMAZING! It reminds me of Green Day's older stuff, but with that said it doesn't really matter because I love any style that Green Day does (and I love the so-called "newer Green Day" just the same ) anyway i like it better than Hearts Collide.
minus52 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I actually like this song better than know your enemy
greendaytone Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I haven't listened to this one much, for various reasons, but i like it. Saving it up for freshness!
Isabel Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 this song is better than any song on the albumThat's the most sensible thing I've heard all day....Well I wouldn't say it's better than Peacemaker or 21st Century Breakdown Seriously disappointed this didn't make it onto the album though, it would have gone hand in hand melodically with American Eulogy and Horseshoes & Handgrenades. I think it's far more satisfying than Know Your Enemy, which should have been the real B side Lights Out is one of my all time favourite Green Day songs now, it's definitely in the top five...and that's a really, really big deal.
iLozza! Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I listened to this song for the first time today, and I love it
The Disappearing Boy Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I listened to this song for the first time today, and I love it first time?dude, where have you been all this time....?!
