tvrman Posted June 8, 2009 Author Posted June 8, 2009 My bad dude, the old link didn't work for some reason. No probs.
Angela. Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Wow. That's pretty interesting. I wonder what songs will be on it.
AtTheLibrary19 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I really hope this is a full game like they did with Aerosmith, Metallica, and now the Beatles. I know it won't happen but it would be so amazing to play their full discography on rock band.
jacknovella Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Cool, I'm more of a Guitar Hero guy myself though I once read an interesting interview with Nickelback about why they had refused to put their songs in Guitar Hero, and they were basically saying that all these music games are fun and all, but they're stopping people actually learning to play real instruments. Why buy and learn how to play a guitar or the drums when you can just buy Guitar Hero?I see their point, but at the same time I bet theres people who have played Guitar Hero and loved it so much they wanted to play for real. Your thoughts?

Your thoughts? As much as I despise Nickelback, I do agree with that statement. Luckily I learned bass, guitar, and (sort of) drums, before I ever even started playing GH or RB. It's funny, usually all of my friends who have never played an instrument in their life pick up the game really quickly, while my musician friends and I struggle with it constantly

It looks like a Green Day edition full game, but I guess we wait and see. Alternate link.tvrman
Nova-Caine Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Haha I'm useless at these games, I always end up being the singer
LilyMarie Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 This is so exciting! I was trying like hell to find some GD to add to Rock Band on xbox live and was shocked when there wasn't any. This is great!LOL @ 'Wal-Mart exclusive'.
gdpunkdude Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 i guess this is sort of cool for the kids that can't play an instrument but i'm not big on video games, they make ppl lazy.
Katarina. Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Yay I guess. I think I'll stick with the real intruments.
TheBullwinkle Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 So damn exciting. That means I have to buy a new Rock Band drum kit. I broke my last one by rocking too hard. :/
gdpunk2 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 And I bought Guitar Hero :/ Still, we Guitar Hero fans can still hope for a Green Day edition to come along eh?
rage-love-life Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Cool. And when will people realize that Billie's name is not Billy?

Your thoughts? This shit pisses me off. It's ridiculous. I don't think many people out there consider the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games to be of equal value to a real instrument. It's like saying playing Call of Duty is stopping people from joining the army. It's a game, and people know it. People are just bitching about video games distracting from "more worthwhile" pursuits like they always have. It's just easier to blame these games, because of the peripherals. If you played 'em with a regular controller, no one would say a word.
