Wiiladesuso Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Hi guys. One of my friends told me that he can play all the green dayś songs in the drums. I dont think so, and now and looking for the most difficult songs in green day (In drums). Can you help me? Thank you very much and dont forget to rock the planet! Please, forgive my english
Haz Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Most difficult song?Hmm, they're all fairly easy to be honest although burnout is slightly challenging?
elisa Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 a friend of mine told me Green Day songs are pretty difficult to drum, since Tre plays very fast.I will ask his opinion about the most difficult one
Haz Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Actually, that's a point. Platypus(i hate you) is really fast.
Foxboron Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Green Day dont got the most advanced drums, but he playes fast. tahts the only challenge i can think of.
dallasthemenace Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 some of 'em may sound easy, but trust me, it aint easy. tre gets better with each record....if your friend is such a show off, have him tryburnoutarmatage shanksstuck with mepanic songjadedchumpjesus of suburbiaplatypushaushinka homecomingand if he's so bad ass, as he claims...then have him play those in a set...back to back, just like tre would have to do if that were the setlist....i cut my teeth behind a drum kit playin green day tunes...those little fills can be a bitch. and you gotta have stamina/endurance like a motherfucker...
TheMinority16 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I would say some fast ones like Platypus and St. Jimmy and In The End. hmmm what else....can he play any of the new ones?
Foxboron Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 ill lol myself if thats thee ones he can, BTW, shouldnt this be in The Underground?
Katarina. Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 ^ Yeah, I guess this should be in The Underground. As for the songs.. uhm.. Maybe songs like Platypus or Haushinka? And how 'bout the new songs? Can he play all of 'em already? 'FRONT TO BACK'? Tre does that as well.. so
Wiiladesuso Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 And, what about the foxboro hot tubs?I think that stop drop and roll could be hard.
emmaILGD! Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Yeah, Platypus is hard, I tried playing it on the drums and I thought my arms had fallen off after about 10 seconds IMO King For a Day/Shout live sounds hard, especially at the end when it gets really fast.
aahhhh Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 im going to say welcome to paradise, but none of their stuff is terribly difficult. the end of the breakdown in that song is pretty clever, anyway.edit: or basket case. i've heard a million covers of that song, and none of them get the drum fills right.
gdpunkdude Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 tre sticks to very simple beats but if i had to choose the hardest one, i would say armatage shanks cuz it has a crazy intro. but if u just want to give yur friend a hard time, i would choose a long song like jesus of suburbia.
Nobody_Likes_You Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 ^Basket Case really isn't that hard. I can play it properly. Welcome to Paradise, yeah, I love the fills in it. It has probably the hardest fills in it.Tré doesn't really play difficult stuff, but he plays it straight and without any special techniques. Look at his right arm when he plays the HiHat. I love his way of playing, so I decided to play like him. I'm getting better everyday. But a lot of structures in the songs are the same, so some may say if you can play one classic Green Day song you can play every single song.
Foxboron Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 a longer one is harder then a short one.its more difficoult to remember everything.
Nobody_Likes_You Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 ^No, not really. In JoS there are a few parts. 5 And everything is the same within these parts.
.Brian Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 welcome to paradise has cool fills and is pretty fast.
Foxboron Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 ^No, not really. In JoS there are a few parts. 5 And everything is the same within these parts.depends on wich song, JoS is one of the eiser songs on guitar to. the problem is just not to mix diffrent part or forget stuff..
dallasthemenace Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 a longer one is harder then a short one.hehehehehe
Jack96 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Some of tehs onsg off 21st Century Breakdown look pretty challenging
madswester Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I dont play drums myself... but one of my friends does, and he says tre is really good. but he says platypus, king for a day and in the end are really hard.
Harriet Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I started playing drums because of Tre, and although he plays some pretty simple beats, they're a bitch to play because they're so damn fast! The drum solo in JoS isn't particularly difficult, but i still can't play it right because i'm so slow
