21st Century Breakdown is having quite an "outdoors" publicity campaign.

Browsing around Flickr I found many pics of the cover art stencil around the world. If you find any, please post here, and if you've seen any, tell us!

Pat found some awesome stuff! Thanks Pat! I'm posting them here:

"A guerrilla campaign by London creative agency Jack Liberties for the launch of Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown album which came out on May 15. Projecting the phrase 21st Century Breakdown on St. Paul's Cathedral is clever and gutsy on so many levels."

do you know where those pictures were taken?

I know that they did this around New York for record release week and outside of the Best Buy they had graffiti on the sidewalk :D

Some of these pics look like they could be from that, am I right?

..actually my friend who was at the best buy signing has the same exact picture as the first one up on his facebook album of it :P

Haha, those are great. :)

I love graffiti.

I saw one of those (though not the same one) in Winnipeg when I went there a few weeks ago. :)

Wish I got a picture of it, I didn't have my camera on me at the time.

Those look really awesome, but I think it's a bit exaggerative. In my opinion they shouldn't overdo it that much.

That's a rock 'n' roll band and not a brand new parfum that needs that much advertising.

even though I would freak out if I saw one of those in my city :woot:

that is epic win.

even though that's overdoing it XD

there is one on the Sydney train line, painted on a wall, somewhere between Redfern and Ashfield, anyone else see it ??? ... I've been trying to capture it on my camera phone everyday, but the train is moving too fast.... hopefully I can get a pic soon and post it here...

Those are amazing, I would love to be walking down the street and come face to face with that!

Pretty cool Marie, thanks!!

The first 2 linked photos (with the '7 days later' one with SLAYER written on it) I personall saw that one and took a picture of it, though it was after SLAYER was written on it..

I don't know many people that like Green Day around me, so I was so happy when I saw it...till I saw SLAYER part.

But it's very close to my house, though.

They are all very nice, though.

I've seen adverts on bus benches, but that's really the only outside advertising I've seen.

Ooomph, actually I lied. One of the OC Transpo buses was decored top to bottom in 21st CB garb. I didn't get to take a picture of it, but I got on it I was like FUCKING YES :woot: I don't know if they've taken it off yet or not though.

Most of them look pretty cool.

I didn't see any graffiti but a big poster hanging on the walls of some subway stations.

I want the last one in my room!

Posted

That's pretty cool :D

I haven't seen any advertising here (well, apart from some articles on internet, and of course they have the CD in record stores, but even there are no posters whatsoever :/)

I'm glad none of that is near me
