son Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 i hope this is just an example of online, or maybe im just a foolim looking online at their new shop site, looking at t-shirts, when i see this:http://greenday.shop.bravadousa.com/Produc...amp;pc=BGCTGD14are they actually selling those specific shirts from such shows as the fox theatre, bowery, and webster online?
dallasthemenace Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 35 fuckin dollars?!that better not be representitive of what merch costs are going to be like on the tour.....for a bunch of guys that still being a punk band "is ground zero" for them....50 dollar tickets and 35 dollar t shirts aint exactly punk rock....i mean, im damn near 30 and i can barely afford this tour already. i cant imagine a 14 year old fan trying to scrape up enough money....

So there.

I'm 15, and I'm selling stuff on eBay to make money for merch for the show I'm going to. Nothing major, just some old Pokemon games (Such as Special Pikachu Edition) and whatnot. But I mean, I don't really have a problem doing it. I haven't used the items in a long time, so it's not like I'll miss them that much.
Welshy Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 For one of the biggest bands of the last two decades, the ticket prices aren't expensive, especially compared to other bands and singers and that.I'm not sure if I'd get a concert t-shirt from a gig I didn't go to though.
SkippyNXC Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 i actually didn't get a chance to get a bowery shirt... so i'd LOVE to find one somewhere LOL
Nele Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I atually don't care if their merch costs much because... well it's Green Day.
Foxboron Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 (Such as Special Pikachu Edition)what thers a Special Edition
Angela. Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 what thers a Special Edition Yep, it's called Pokemon Special Pikachu Edition. It's for the GameBoy. It can play on the DS, SP, and Game Boy. If you're interested in it, send me a PM. I can set up an auction/buy it now for you.
Minority_GD Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 what thers a Special Edition I think he means the yellow edition, where you get pikachu as the frist pokemon.
fashionvictim86 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Yeah I saw they were selling that shirt yesterday when I was on the site.
Angela. Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I think he means the yellow edition, where you get pikachu as the frist pokemon. She, actually. (She... she screams in silence... )It just says Pokemon Special Pikachu Edition on the game itself. I guess it might be yellow, I'm not sure. All I know is that it was released from 1998-2000, and (based off of personal experience) it's hard to find in stores.
Kryssi. Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Thats how much we paid for it at the Fox. So there.Hahaha, you have my drawing as your ava And still, that's a pretty mean feat for gig shirts, even at shows... And to think people on eBay were selling them for $80.
rage-love-life Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Cool shirt, but 35 bucks? NO freaking way. Hope the tour shirts aren't this expensive, I don't wanna go broke.
Rita Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Hah, I already own way too much Green Day merch so no thanks.
Katarina. Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Well, I don't think that's that expensive. I mean, of course I would've liked them to be cheaper, but I saw 35$ is about 25 euros.. The average price for a GD shirt here.. so, nothing new
Sharmellow Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Great! I have $35. If that's how much they're selling for a shirt at the concert, I can afford one.
Jack96 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 35 fuckin dollars?!that better not be representitive of what merch costs are going to be like on the tour.....for a bunch of guys that still being a punk band "is ground zero" for them....50 dollar tickets and 35 dollar t shirts aint exactly punk rock....i mean, im damn near 30 and i can barely afford this tour already. i cant imagine a 14 year old fan trying to scrape up enough money....Im 12 and i have enough.
Greenday_Aussie Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I was going to wait for the iTunes shirt to become available to the public on the UK store, but that Stencil City one is fucking AWESOME! It would be cheesy wearing a specific show shirt though, its not like I went to that show Still, I may have to buy this.
norcalgreendayfan Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I found it well worth it to buy the shirt from the fox for 35 bucks but thats just me no way was i going to go to a Green Day show and not buy a shirt
MusicalDeviant Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Hahaha, you have my drawing as your ava And still, that's a pretty mean feat for gig shirts, even at shows... And to think people on eBay were selling them for $80.I do have your drawing (which I really like) as my avatar. You're friends with Roecker on Facebook (as am I) so I snagged it when I saw the link to your album. And people on ebay suck. We already knew that though (evidenced by the Fonda debacle).
Kryssi. Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Well thank you for liking it. I done that over 3 years ago. I need to do more things...Yeah, eBay people suck a huge one. It's ridiculous how much they want for some things.
MusicalDeviant Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Well thank you for liking it. I done that over 3 years ago. I need to do more things...Yeah, eBay people suck a huge one. It's ridiculous how much they want for some things. You do. I really like your work. I'd LOVE to see more of it. I remember hearing once about a piece of french toast taken a bite out of by a backstreet boy being sold on ebay for thousands. Ebay people are scum-bags, but a lot of the people who shop on there are total morons. They get what they deserve.
Rezurgam Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Dude, I gotta buy this shit. I have no Green Day T-shirts and I had like no money on me that night at the Fox.
