iHasan Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Everyone of us know that AI sold 5.8 million copies in US but that was 2-3 years ago when it was certified 5x Platinum. Anyone know how many copies of AI have been sold as of 2009?I think it must have exceeded 6 million
iHasan Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 It's 14 million+ Worldwide but I was talking about US only
Ally Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 The figure is close to what the group's previous album, 2004's critically acclaimed "American Idiot," sold in a full week -- that Grammy Award-winning effort opened with 267,000 copies and has sold 5.9 million to date.from http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-ct-m...0,5943012.story does that answer the question? :google:thats what i used to find that
Guitar4Girl Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 ^ Wow"21st Century Breakdown" illustrated the ever-shifting value of the album in today's transitory world, with a digital download retailing for $14.99 at Apple's iTunes store and $4.99 at Amazon.com the day it was releasedThat's quite a big price difference! If there's an album that I really like then I always go for a hard copy. Mine was about £9 from Amazon with free delivery.
