jgraldo Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 So even though Green Day is listed as appearing on Letterman's show on the 22nd (Friday), it's common knowledge that Letterman's crew has Fridays off and this is why they tape two shows on Monday (because one is to air on Friday). Someone in an earlier post 100% confirmed that GD will actually tape their performance this Monday, and this all make sense.Well I received a call over the weekend to attend either the 18 or 19th and hoping for the best, decided on the 18th, Monday. I really hope the two taping thing works out.... but here's my dilemma:Someone said the regular show tapes at 5:30. Then the second, "Friday," show tapes an hour later. I was told to arrive between 2-3pm... that probably means I'm attending the FIRST show (which Green Day wouldn't be on). So I don't know what to do, if I should request to go to the second show as soon as I know who the guests will be.... I really don't know what to do. I would rather see Green Day than Ben Stiller (who's listed as a Monday guest), I'll tell you that much!!!OH! And might I add that when I was offered the tickets, I asked who would be on and the lady said to me "I'm not allowed to say." Then under her breath she mumbled, "...but it's going to be a reeeeally good show."She wouldn't be saying that if it was just Ben Stiller right????

(I'm not going to this so I didn't investigate further.)HiWe tape Friday's show on Monday at 7pm. Stand-by tickets are available by calling (212) 247-6497 starting at 11:00 a.m. on the day of the taping you wish to attend. Your name will be taken and you will be placed on our stand by list in the order we receive your call. You will be asked to check in to the theater at a specific time approximately 1 hour before the taping. You will only be admitted to the actual taping in the event seats remain after all of the regularly ticketed guests are accommodated. We will keep the above phone line open for approximately 30-60 minutes or until we fill our allocation of stand by slots, which varies from day to day. I have to go there myself and find out (and even then, they'll probably still keep it a secret).Anyways, I'm gonna get good shut-eye and head into the city early tomorrow morning! (I live in Long Island). Even if I don't get to see them at least I should have fun roaming Manhattan a bit....But I will keep you guys posted (and also try to sneak a no-flash camera in).
