Green Day Book For The Fans By The Fans

EDIT: I am satisfied we have enough interest to get this monster going. A lot of people have expressed that it would be good to get this published. I'm not sure if they mean made into a book or actually sell it to a publisher.

I dont think I would like a publisher to put this out, I think it would be a good idea that since we are making a book based on the greatest punk rock band that we have DIY Ethics and I think it would be a great achievement to see the end product something we have all made. I have also looked into the possibility of using 100% recycled paper and products because of the Green Day NRDC thing.

I am also signing up to the Idiot Club this week for the primary reason of getting myself tickets to their Australian tour when they first are released and maybe ask the guys who regulary post over their if they would be interested in helping out. I don't want to come across as a spammer joining up just to use those guys but then again anybody that bothers to pay and sign up must be a dedicated fan so I think its worth a go.

I have created a email address for people to email their contributions. Include your full name, Location and GDC Username so I can easily Identify you. Also it would be great if you could put "Your GDC Username and Contribution" in the subject line so it keeps things organized.

i know their is going to be a lot of people who have had a simular experience with green day. but as long as its got heart.

and if you really want to rush it and write your story now , go ahead. but at the moment just generating interest.

would actually like to get something from courtney and andres seeing as they are responsible for us all being here.

ok because it wil be a fact that some contributions will be better than others. so you should edit them and have like the better contributers have a full page or something, and everyone else can have shorter contributions like quotes...

So for example on the LEFT page you have one longer really good contribution thats like 300 words long, and on the RIGHT page you could have a picture background and have 4 or 5 shorter "quotes" that are maybe 40-60 words long each. if that makes sense.

Also alot of famous people are green day fans may be those will deserve a full page if you can get hold of any famous fans.

I dont mind helping you with this project. I've alot of free time and i've had experience working for a newspaper press company as an internship

I had a idea of making a Green Day-dedicated book a few years ago. I already had a title for it but not much ideas to make it work

I know some Hedley fans did this, and it got published a legit book. You can get it in Chapters and stuff. I think it'd be pretty sweet to pull that off.
