HBAAA0ewWLA.gif Momentum is also where the U.S. regime change.

Even after the man who allegedly gave title to the previous and very successful Green Day album ( "American Idiot" in 2004) is removed from the presidential chair, has not Green Days socio-political message faded. ONCE again takes Billie Joe Armstrong a rock-opera tically grip à la The Who and base their triple libretto for a young couple, Christian and Gloria, and their journey through contemporary America, where they are far from success to ignite a spark in the hopeless of that prevails around them. They represent the truth "generation zero, born humbly era," which Armstrong sings.

In text and notes, this can thus be perceived as a good sequel to "American Idiot", only a tiny notch weaker. There is no doubt that Green Day is an excellent pop-band. Even on the basis of simple and easy Happy-Punk the powers - and Nirvana producer Butch Vig - actually to maintain ground contact even in the most orchestrated parties. But the cheeky to steal fresh from the Led Zeppelin ( "Rest Less Heart Syndrome") and The Hives ( "Horse Shoes And Handgrenades"), without ever losing his own expressions of sight.

Green Day has created a solid and powerful album - tailored for anyone who liked "American Idiot". And there were many, in fact around 13 million worldwide ...

RECOMMENDED PURCHASE: "21st Century Break Down," "Before The Lobotomy," "Last Night On Earth," "Peace Maker" and "Static Age"

God, I hate VG's reviews. Stein Østbø can burn.

Btw, they got 5 out of 6 in Dagbladet.

Since when was Green Day a pop band? Seemed like an alright review.

I've never liked VG (Verdens Gang my ass!) or the reviewing staff. They seem like a bunch of snobs if you ask me. But it's a half decent review, not all bad.

least its 4/6 could be worse!

Since Stein Østbø is a complete jerk. He calls all bands pop.

I'm pretty sure he hates Green Day he only writtes crap about them. Also after the amazing concert they had here during the AI tour.

Unfortunately, Armstrong has a tendency to demonstrate its audience reach in nearly every song, which crush the dynamics yesterday's concert might have had. It is a shame, because a surprisingly revitalized Green Day on the plate should also have the opportunity to view it better from the stage.

But the audience seemed to love the show from "American Idiot" in the opening, a show which sectors were equally dot it from Roskilde last weekend. Actual impact was so great in front of the stage that Armstrong stopped already the middle of the second song, "Jesus Of Suburbia" to ask if everything was ok with the audience. And how can you not love a band that creates a new Green Day by three fans from the mass audience and give away the guitar with the Norwegian flag?

Billie Joe Armstrong viltre energy corresponds to the extent of happy-punk-base in Green Day, but with the risk of repeating myself - sometimes it is just too much!
