The Grateful Green Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Who do you think will tour with Green Day up till August 8th? I heard Blink-182 and Weezer. EDIT: Both 1 and 2 is Blink-182 and Weezer.
gdpunk2 Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 aint it Fraz Ferdinand? or are they supporting after the 8th? I heard rumours that My Chemical Romance might be supporting the UK tour, though not confirmed yet
Eirik Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 My Chemical Romance are playing Summersonic August 7th, so it's not them. The only plausible option there is Weezer...
The Grateful Green Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 None of those.who do u think then? im going to the philly show so i would like some opinions
Radioactive1 Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 It won't be Blink 182. They're going to be making a big come back and it would be bit demoralizing for them to "support" Green Day.I don't think it's going to be any of those. I'd actually quite like it to be Parmore. I'm getting really into them
music89 Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 if you look at the 2 opening acts so far, they are The Kaiser Chiefs, and Franz Ferdinand, 2 bands from the UK, so im assuming they will keep the pattern going with the next opening act they announce
ferryfan Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 definately none of those. would like to see a smaller punk band given a chance to support them.
mad hatter. Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I'm praying it'll be Muse because that would be...amazing. But I know that they're touring with U2 in like September, so that seems impossible. :/Hopefully they'll keep the pattern with good bands from the UK.
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 as far as i hear Blink 182 and Weezer are going out on their own tour together so I find it unlikely it would be either of them
TheBullwinkle Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 definately none of those. would like to see a smaller punk band given a chance to support them.I second that. I was hoping for Dead To Me or American Steel since they're Bay Area bands, but no soap.
love_billie_joe Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 yeah I am curious about who the opening act(s) will be...Franz Ferdinand might be good, I have one of their cds somewhere...
Starbug Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 My Chemical Romance are playing Summersonic August 7th, so it's not them. The only plausible option there is Weezer...Naw, they can carry themselves.if you look at the 2 opening acts so far, they are The Kaiser Chiefs, and Franz Ferdinand, 2 bands from the UK, so im assuming they will keep the pattern going with the next opening act they announceTHE FRATELLIS! That would be freakin' sweet.I'm praying it'll be Muse because that would be...amazing. But I know that they're touring with U2 in like September, so that seems impossible. :/Hopefully they'll keep the pattern with good bands from the UK.Muse would be awesome, too
Renjini Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 if blink wasn't going on their own tour, i would choose them, but they are going on their own tour, so no blink
Nele Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 None of them.I really hoped Franz Ferdinand would support them here.
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Would love to see My Chemical Romance. My Chemical Romance puts on a good show too, least I think so I got to see them in 2008 one of the two nights they played at The Warfield in San Francisco
Elis_x Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 if GD pick some of these, I will shoot myself.seriously, they've already had MCR as a support, haven't they? So even if I like them, I want GD to pick a "new" band.and for blink182 and fall out boy.. please, no.I don't have anything against weezer cause I don't know them. And as much as I love british music, incl. Frany Ferdinand, I'm not sure how GD + indie band will work...
Princess Consuela Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I actually don't care about the opening band. I could even bear Hannah Montana
Elis_x Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I'm praying it'll be Muse because that would be...amazing. But I know that they're touring with U2 in like September, so that seems impossible. :/Hopefully they'll keep the pattern with good bands from the UK.oh muse would be AWESOME. like green day and muse, my two favourite bands playing together... it would be the best night of my fucking life.
norcalgreendayfan Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I actually don't care about the opening band. I could even bear Hannah Montana jeez Hanna Montana thats a bit extreme there is no way I could stomach that I'd go insane
