21st Century Breakdown's really, really, good, but I still prefer American Idiot.

I haven't heard 21CB yet, and I won't until May 15. I'm sure I'll like this CD better, and I'm just saying that based on the lyrics and the only 2 songs I've heard (KYE and 21 Guns).

21 Guns is probably my favorite song I've ever heard from Green Day. Ever. And that's saying a lot, because I love all of their songs...We'll see if that changes on May 15.

I'm gonna say American Idiot is better. It's just a tighter album that's more my personal style. That's being said, 21CB is beautiful but doesn't really know what it is, it's just all over the place. Some very nice moments though, including....

21st Century Breakdown. It doesn't have a weak track and feels like it was worked on even harder than AI. Even AI had Are We The Waiting and Extraordinary Girl which just couldn't keep up with the other songs, On 21stcb the overall standard is just as high with no songs falling below.

Murder City (for me best track on the album, my mum heard me playing it and said it sounds like a classic already)

7 singles? Defo! That's the quality of the album!

21st Century Breakdown. I've only heard 7 songs, but that's enough to sway me for now. It seems like there's much more emotion and meaning in those songs than on AI, I like the way there's still 2 characters in it, but not an opera like the last album.

american idiot by far is the better of the 2. 21CBD seems contrived and too soft. 21CBD does have a few good songs but thats about it. i just cant wait for the new network album!

I prefer 21st Century Breakdown. American Idiot is kick ass album, but still personally I'm liking the newest one more. American Idiot is still one of my favorite GD albums.

I'm so impressed with 21st CB, I didn't expect it to be so great, really. Now I'd say definitely 21st CB, but I guess I'd need some time to make a relatively objective judgment which of them I like better

Even though 21st CB may be a better album, I still prefer AI because it's just the album that will come to mind when I'm old and gray and thinking of my youth.

hmm, thats actually a tough one. American Idiot got me into Green Day, I fell in love with it. I think I'll have to listen to the new album a few more times. 21CB is probably a better, more complicated piece of work and it's got everything on it from love songs to bad ass songs like H&H. I'm not sure if it will be able to surpass American Idiot for me, it will always hold a special place in my heart because it's my soundtrack to growing up.
