This has been stated alot throughout the download thread and figured a poll would work.

I am undecided, I like the first half of the demo to the end of the 'Irish Jig' but after that is where the album version shines.

Everyone by now should know where i stand on this.

i love the demo, there's no doubt about that now. i spurn the the final version, and i always will.

when i get the album, i will go as far as to burn the CD, erase the album version, and replace it with the Demo on my own CD.

(not like i really like the new album in general, so i'll probably knock off most of the other songs too and keep a few as well)

I'm with you...for now. I think I'll make up my mind when the album comes out, or maybe after a few more listens. But man...that demo was freakin' awesome. Must have listened to it 200 times. Not sure I like the changed verses in the middle part. But oh well.

Album. Billie's Voice sounds incredible.

The demo sucks compared to the album version, so the album version would be my vote.

The album has better vocals, better arrangement, and more energy. There's no question in my mind that the album version is better.

I definitely prefer the finished version than the leaked demo of the track. Although 'From Mexico to the Berlin Wall,' would've worked better and should've stayed consistant in the song. And also "Bleed, America, Bleed. Believe what you read, from heroes and Cons.' is my preferred choice. But maybe Scream works better... I have no idea.

I did like the line "i'm breaking my back til i'm damn near well dead" for some reason but I choose album.

They both have their charms. I really like the solo at the end of the album version a lot, but they're both amazing.

album version.

I'm just listening it for the first time right now.

And it sounds so clean and beautiful.

Well.. I'm a bit undecided at the moment, I did listen to the album version, but just this one (and I listened to it one time)..

Now.. I have to say, I looooooved the demo.. I fell in love with it after listening to it so many times hahah.. and one of my favorite parts was the beginning!!! with the lovely piano in there  .. and that part is gone now  I'm not THAT sad about it, but oh well... Then, I love the natural sound of the demo, in the album version there are some nice effects and all, but nothing better than Billie's Voice without sound effects or whatever you call that (that's just my opinion).. Although, in the album version the sound of everything mixed together is better, course, I can hear everything very clear, every single instrument and backup vocals ... And.. there is one more part of the song added, which is great

I'm sure I will decide when the album comes out! :)

btw.. 21st Century Breakdown is an amazing song, LOOVE it :D

The album version could of gone away with all the "Heys" but thats why Green Day make music and I don't.

While I love the sound of the album version more, the lyrics of the demo still have my heart. I wish they hadn't been changed. I'm going to have to say I like the demo more because of the lyrics.

I like the demo version better. Both the lyrical changes were bad in my opinion. Also, I don't really like the backing vocals on the album version.

Even though I think the album version sounds better the lyrics on the demo were better :/

But ill put my trust in Green Day and say the album version is definitely better :D

i like them both. its sort of like having a normal version and a reprise of the same song. its pretty bitchin'

The album version sounds much better, but I like the demo's lyrics more...

I'm not gonna say which lyrics are better I think you guys got to accustomed to the demo. Now it feels like they took something away kind of. If you never heard the demo do you think you would love the album version?

My vote is for album is has more energy pzazz and boom.

The album version. I like the new effects they've added, the "hey!"s, and the lyrical changes. "Video games to the towers' fall" sounds way better than "From Mexico to the Berlin Wall" to me, and the whole song sounds like it has a lot more going on with it as opposed to the demo. Plus the guitar intro is better than the piano intro.

It gets me more pumped up for what's to follow on the rest of the album than the demo version.

i don't know how anyone could choose the demo version when it sounded so obviously unmixed... it was good but the album version is just so perfect and beautifully produced. The one part that i really liked better about the demo is the "last one born and the first one to die" line..

i really wonder what this album would sound like if butch hadn't produced it.

While I def wish they would have left some of the lyrics in from the demo, the Studio version is clearly better. Not only do the vocals sound much better, the guitars sound way crisper and more full.
