AlanJLegend Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Hey guys, I've been signed up here for over 3 years, but only just rediscovered the place!Anyway, a couple of friends and I have decided to from a Green Day cover band. We are in other bands and stuff, but we like Green Day and enjoy playing their songs so we thought we may as well. What do you guys think would be a nice selection of songs to play if we end up getting a gig somewhere? I would not want to play just the singles and American Idiot stuff. If anything I would prefer do a Dookie/Insomniac/Nimrod tribute band with some of the newer (and older) songs throw in.Obviously I'll need to speak to the other members and get their input, but I think a good start would be;HolidayBasket CaseWestbound SignRedundantWorry RockMinorityAnd Good Riddance pretty much goes without saying! Thanks!

Juan Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 oh my gawd, totally, boulevard, holiday, wake me up..., american idiot and jesus of suburbia :wub::wub:sarcasm overload. I'd say go with what you feel, and learn them all because, they're easy and fun to play and you can bust all of them whenever you feel like it

Really, in all honesty ALL green day is fun to play, it's no frills, all power chords, have a good time kind of music. and the breakdown thingy in Welcome is awesome
Hermione Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I love your choices so far. I say stick King For A Day in there, definitely looks like a lot of fun for band and audience! Or just because it's my favourite, Pulling Teeth.
