The speculations have already surfaced about another possible Green Day remix album. For those unfamilar, a DJ named Dean Grey remixed the entire American Idiot album. Each song was blend of classic artists meshed with the American Idiot songs. Blvd of Broken Songs was a radio hit in 2005 as it combined the music efforts of Oasis, Aerosmith, Eminem, and Travis. It was a beautiful composition that held up as its own masterpiece. Now that 21st Century Breakdown will carry on the operatic and storydriven concept, it's inevitable that Dean Grey will make his return.

I would so listen =D the last ones i heard owned

It would be great but I highly doubt it. Warner became titty babies once it was going to be sold as a CD. So since it would be hard for him to make any money and play it on radios or whatever he does it probably will not happen.

Don't like it. Don't like any dj-music. the american idiot one sounds crappy

I loved 'American Edit.' so I'll be welcome to a new album from him :)

I hope he does it!

His name isn't Dean Grey, it's an anagram for Green Day

^Haha I think that's really cool. And it's not Grey it's Gray, to be more like "Day". I suppose it is his stage name though, so it's kind of his name.

it's really easy to work on what is already made...

so booo! (but i'll listen to it)

^Actually its a spoonerism :P

I don't like it.. The remix ones from AI I heard.. Gah, I actually hate them, can't stand it

Dean Gray is an acronym for Green Day, "he" (Party Ben and Team9), used that name only for American Edit.

:D

Actually, it's an anagram. The acronym for Green Day is GD.

Hahahahah! Thanks so much! The words in english got mixed up in my head! English is not my first language.

I've had American Edit for years and I only just realized that now you said it.

Wow, I feel stupid.

Also it was a Mash Up album. not a remix.

big diferance

I hope Dean Grey works his magic on this album

"Novocain Rhapsody" is a fucking marvelous song.

Also, he's incredibly nice. I recall messaging him back a forth a couple of times a couple years back on Myspace...when I still used it.

I'm sure he'd love to hear some of your questions. And who knows, maybe he'll confirm his intentions for the new album.

You know what's weird? If you mix up the letters to Dean Grey, it's Grean Dey...which sounds a lot like Green Day...

EDIT: Nevermind, ignore my post...

American Edit was never sold as a CD, and was never intended to make any money in the first place. "Dean Gray" just did it for fun. I remember when it it was released as a free download Warner issued a C&D against them, but Dean Gray kept it available for download. If they do a mashup for 21CB, the same will probably happen. Although this time around Warner may be a bit harsher on them because, well...Warner's been a bit of a bitch lately

I actually recall that. After a day the site launched it was immediatly removed from Warner due to the copyright issues. Incidently, Dean Grey wasnt doing anything infringing on those rights. It was a non-profit affair that was freely distributed to its fans. The reason Warner cracked down on the project is cause it contained samples from the songs. Its perplexing how rappers can fly under the radar with their constant sampling of other artists, while remix and mash ups are outted as advocates of piracy. I guess parody artits like Weird Al remains unsued since he alters the lyrics while maintaing the same instrumentation of a song. Copyrights over the years have become increasingly complicated to understand, especially living in this digital age where people download music instead of owning a physical piece of it.
