rage-love-life Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hey that's really cool. Do you have any info yet on what stations will play this and where?
Fuzz Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 They haven't released any details about who will be carrying it yet. I'm sure they we'll get more.
Zalex Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 So this is like a full hour special, no music for a whole hour?
Marie_GD Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Humm I wonder if the radio station will be playing anything from the new album, or if it will only be an interview with the guys. Either way, nice! Thanks for posting
deathtofalsesushi Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 A lot of bands do this, they will probably play a few songs off the album. Not live performances, I mean they will just play the recordings.Live 105 is the station that fired their morning DJ for playing a snippet of Know Your Enemy before its release. Now I see why they were so quick to react.
The Disappearing Boy Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 looks good, thanks for posting. i guess that the audio will be put up to download afterwards, right?
djrossstar Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Just submitted for this. Will let you know when I plan to air it!DJ Rossstar
greenbear Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 There's a little short interview now on the FMQB site.HEREAs for "East Jesus Nowhere," Dirnt describes the song as "a call against hypocrisy in religion, more than speaking out against any one in particular." Armstrong adds, "The whole point of it is to look at your own humility… A lot of people use religion to sort of become God themselves, or play God. You see it in eight years of George W. Bush, you see it in suicide bombers, you see it every day and I rather liked thisAs for their recent side project Foxboro Hot Tubs, Armstrong says the album was done "to just get out of our heads and go do something else. After doing some of those shows, I said, ‘Well we could do this for the rest of our lives.’" Tre Cool added, "Call it weird, call it stupid, we just like to have fun and do our own thing."
Hermione Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 ^That was a great little read, thanks for finding that! That part made me smile too
