watsername182 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Rediscover these gems that deserve a second chance, in Bigger Than the Sound.Green Day, Warning (2000): After the prom anthem ("Good Riddance") and before the rebirth (American Idiot), which is to say "at the exact time when no one cared about them." Warning is the band's worst-selling album, though it's rather unjustly overlooked. Billie Joe Armstrong's writing is super strong — he really begins his blue-collar period here — and tracks like "Minority" and "Warning" proved that GD could still be plenty snotty when they wanted to.I found this when I was looking at a Panic At The Disco site.Source.
Rezurgam Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Yes, Warning and Pretty. Odd. are really underrated and overlooked.
Zalex Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 That made my evening.I always say how amazing, yet overlooked Warning is
Jaymee!! Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning's my second favourite album I don't understand why people dislike it so much
TheBullwinkle Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I love Warning, but I don't think that's when Billie started his blue-collar period.
Juan Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning's my second favourite album I don't understand why people dislike it so muchit sold a million!, people look like, hey that's nothing, fuck, a shitload of bands go, hey we went platinum *party*
Fuzz Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning is still my favorite. The lyrics on that album are the best ever written from them.
Colin Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning is still my favorite. The lyrics on that album are the best ever written from them. Now that i think about it the lyrics are very good. Very good album indeed but it was too poppy.
Greenday_Aussie Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning was waayy crap!No I kid, Warning is pretty awesome, use to be my second or third fav...until Insomniac came along!
Guest Hayley Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I love warning and I think that is really overrated. It's a great album.
Alan86 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning is definately one of my favourite albums. The fact that its underated makes it feel more special
Greenday_Aussie Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 What does "Blue-Collar" mean?Your "Battler", Its a name for a worker who maybe doesnt make alot of money, and almost struggles week to week with expenses, but never gives up. Thats my take on it anyway.
Kaddi. Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I always liked Warning and I never thought it was their worst album. It's almost impossible to say that a GD album is bad... and just because it wasn't sold so many times, doesn't mean that it's bad anyway.
Katarina. Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I love warning and I think that is really overrated. It's a great album. You mean underrated? xDAnyway, Warning's my second favorite Green Day album, and I don't get it.. It's a great record! Well, at least the songs weren't overplayed
Boston Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning and Pretty.Odd. really are diamonds in the rough.
jose armstrong Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 warning is a really great album one of my GD faves, fuck people
Hermione Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning is wonderful. For my personal taste, it's probably my least favourite lyrically. But that's only because this is Green Day we're talking about and all their albums are so great lyrically, I still love love love Warning's lyrics. And everything else about it I hope someone who reads that decides to give it a listen because of it, that would be cool
rage-love-life Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning's a great album. It's different from everything else they released but doesn't mean it's crap.
Ally Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 fuck them, it does not "deserve recycling", i love that album, proabably my fave GD album
Rita Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Warning and Pretty.Odd are both overlooked indeed. Warning has always been my second favorite.
