So we all know American Idiot's singles recieved historic amounts of airplay on the radio..so how do you think the 21CB material will do on the radio? and specifically the Know Your Enemy single which is coming out? I think the singles are going to be Know Your Enemy, East Jesus Nowhere, Restless Heart Syndrome and maybe some other act 3 songs because those are the ones they seemed to want to promote to the magazines. Restless Heart Syndrome seems like it could be this album's Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, and East Jesus Nowhere seems like it could be this album's Holiday.

Thoughts?

Know Your Enemy will do great, it's an upbeat catchy tune and I'm sure people will request for it to be played

im sure green day will do just fine on the air waves

I couldn't care less of what the radio thinks of it.

I actually hope that the songs I don't like end up being the singles.

That way, I wouldn't have to get sick of it since I wouldn't have liked it from the start.

But aside from that...

I'm sure KYE will do great on the radio cause from what I've heard from the new YT videos, this seems like one the poppier songs on the album.

So yeah, it should do good.

I only hope it won't get overplayed. Green Day is a huge band, they'll be fine. Hell, even during their worst they played some of the most kickass shows they ever did and still sold a million copies

yeah i agree about my favorites not being singles.

but i dont think i'll have to worry because my favorites right now are peacemaker and viva la gloria?(little girl)

they both have a gypsy punk feel and i LOVE gypsy style music (GOGOL BORDELLO ANYONE???)

i dont forsee those 2 making it to the airwaves. i also like east jesus nowhere but thats probably gonna be a single

thats the beauty of green day..even when the masses dont like what they are putting out, they still have a big enough group of hardcore fans that they can still sell millions of records.

it's gonna go over great with fans of course and make some new fans, but obviously they're gonna be put through a lot more shit now than when people were complaining that american idiot was anti-american.

KYE will be overplayed.

I'm pretty sure it will do great, but it's just radio who cares.
