.Brian Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 sorry if there's already a thread, but i couldn't find it.i just found this article on the rolling stone website. it's just about the possibility to have a woodstock in 09 for the 40th anniversary of woodstock.it also says that there were big plans for multiple Woodstocks all across the world last year.but it also says that it's not very plausible to have one in '09 because of the economy crash.what would you think about it?i'd really like it, especially if green day was playing there like in '94. EDIT: the link: http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/inde...-promoter-says/
Astrid. Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Would be great to have Woodstock in this area Don't think it will though
drumstick Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Oh, it would be awesome to see Green Day kicking ass again at Woodstock
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Would be great to have Woodstock in this area Don't think it will thoughYeah indeed Biggest chance for this area probably is Germany..

Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 would be great Especially for you!If it's in Germany but a part that's too far away...ooh, I'm going to be mad then. And they mentioned Berlin as a possibility in the article, which is probably too far away. Oh well, it's not even sure there's a Woodstock coming anyway.
rootbeersoup Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Woodstock isn't woodstock if it's not in woodstock
tuwlol Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Oh, it would be awesome to see Green Day kicking ass again at Woodstock QFT If there is one soon..hope there's no age limit
Astrid. Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Yeah indeed Biggest chance for this area probably is Germany..Yeah I think so too. I'd go. Sucks that I live in West-Holland.. Much further away from Germany. But train or car can get you anywhere! Woodstock isn't woodstock if it's not in woodstockTrue. It would be a wannabe-woodstock. But still.. I would go
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Yeah I think so too. I'd go. Sucks that I live in West-Holland.. Much further away from Germany. But train or car can get you anywhere! Yeah...but where you (and me too, actually) live you can get easily to most of the "big cities" in Holland. And indeed, train or car can get you anywhere. (Well, when you're 18+ and have a driver's licence . I still need parents for a lot of stuff )

greendepent Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Woodstock isn't woodstock if it's not in woodstockObviusly. The german people have rock am ring and bizarre festivals, why more?and Green Day in Woodstock again? would be awesome, mudstock part 2
Hermione Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Green Day performing live can only ever be a good thing
Dylan. Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Woodstock isn't as special anymore. It seems like they have those things every couple years. Woodstock '69 and Woodstock '94 are the only true ones to me. '69 had the classics. '94 had the new generation. '09 will have to have the newest generation of awesome. Only then will I like it.
Moxy Crimefighter Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 my god, when will people let Woodstock die already.
Starbug Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Woodstock isn't woodstock if it's not in woodstockNor is is Woodstock if it wasn't held in the 60's :/my god, when will people let Woodstock die already.I wish they would. Even though it was a classic GD performance, made music history and all that good stuff, the last 2 Woodstocks were a joke and turned into something entirely wrong. It was awful.
rootbeersoup Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Nor is is Woodstock if it wasn't held in the 60's :/I spy with my little eye, lots of truth in this post

Foxboro Hot Tubs Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 well, I think you shouldn't try to dublicate Woodstock always .... to me it was an awesome one-time festival in 1969 and to me you just should to let it rest
