The Grateful Green Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Billie said that they are practicin playing the album in full. Does that mean that there not going to play clasics like, nice guys finsih last, longview, basket case, hitchin a ride..etc.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 We don't know, how do you think we could?
Renjini Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 we dont' know, there is no info about the tour other than its going to be for almost 2 years, starting in July, and their going to try to play the album in full
Mauri Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 They might do it in certain shows, like AI, but my guess (and hope) is they'll play a mix of old and new...
valeria carci Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 it means their shows will be longer i'm opstimist
Ally Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 no one will know until we see them live i guess, though i doubt they will chuck there biggest hits out of the playlist
hnnna Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I think they'll be playing the new album in full for the first couple of months, and then theyre gonna start playing older songs too. But I could almost bet I read somewhere theyre gonna play all the 20 songs when touring, not just picking some of them. So that means their shows are gonna be looonger. Okay I guess I'm just pointing out the obvious.
Teenage Kicks! Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 it means their shows will be longer i'm opstimist I wish I was this optimistic.
Katarina. Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 There's nothing confirmed yet about the songs they'll be playing.. so I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer for that info
mandypants19 Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 i'll be more than content with whatever they decide to play. but i'm not gonna lie, i'd really really love to hear some of their older classic songs.
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 they don't seem like the type of band to give up the classics.
Juan Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 they don't seem like the type of band to give up the classics.Tell that to When I Come Around last tour
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Tell that to When I Come Around last tourthey played it a fair few. times. alright it wasn't a regular, but they played it plenty os times over the two years.
Juan Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 they played it a fair few. times. alright it wasn't a regular, but they played it plenty os times over the two years.only in the first shows, it wasn't even played in the Warfield show, yes, they played it non-stop since 94', but a classic it's a classic and I'd much rather hear when I come around over We are the champions or I fought the law Also, no Geek Stink Breath (except for the first shows also)
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 true. they missed out lots of classics at warfield actually. no brain stew or good riddance. but it was still anawesome show!
Juan Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 true. they missed out lots of classics at warfield actually. no brain stew or good riddance. but it was still anawesome show!well, that's what great about the show, ending with I fought the law..,TWICE, digging OLD songs, cover freedom (cum sweet-spot at Surrender-Bastards of Young) the show has it all!no one knowsoh a QOTSA cover, if they do, they should play AVON
Starbug Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Tell that to When I Come Around last tourAmen to that... That's the only one I wanted them to play that they didn't. Otherwise, I was happy. I went apeshit when they played She I didn't expect to hear that one, for some reason...I think, in that article, they said they'd like to play the entire album, but not that they definitely were. But every other article that has quoted Rolling Stone (I think that's where it originally appeared) quoted it as being fact, as being what they were gonna play. But the fact is, we don't know.
Starbug Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I think they will thoughI dunno... I think they'll save some classics for us. Surely they will. I don't like the idea of them not. But then, I'll still go and I'll still have the time of my life. I can't imagine going to a GD concert and not having a blast.
Dai. Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I don't care about the playlist, just as long as they come to Argentina and I can see them live. The rest, I dont care.

But then, I'll still go and I'll still have the time of my life. I can't imagine going to a GD concert and not having a blast.I mean, they'll play it entire, but not regularly, very much like AI was played in full at the warm up shows and then they took the songs that worked out best, put together on a nice well-rounded setlistI don't care about the playlist, just as long as they come to Argentina and I can see them live. The rest, I dont care.I consider myself in here too, but at least you're in Argentina, bands I like never come here, NOFX came in 2006 and they fucking canceled, at least your country has nice Festivals and stuff, in here only Iron Maiden, Aerosmith and Megadeth, all in Caracas
Starbug Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I don't care about the playlist, just as long as they come to Argentina and I can see them live. The rest, I dont care.I truly don't care, either. As long as I see them. I've missed so many opportunities already.I mean, they'll play it entire, but not regularly, very much like AI was played in full at the warm up shows and then they took the songs that worked out best, put together on a nice well-rounded setlistI consider myself in here too, but at least you're in Argentina, bands I like never come here, NOFX came in 2006 and they fucking canceled, at least your country has nice Festivals and stuff, in here only Iron Maiden, Aerosmith and Megadeth, all in CaracasYeah, that's what I figured they'll do, too. They played AI in its entirety at the show right after mine, which was the last show. I felt fortunate to have seen them at the end of the tour, they were on top of it and seemed to have so much fun. But later, I wished I had heard the entire album lol That would've been unique.double posts suck.
