Guitar4Girl Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I spent 5 minutes searching for a topic on this, i'm sure there was one...I just found this. I don't think its official but its something, the official line-up is released on Monday at 7pm GMT.
Brain_Stewed Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Rise Against is the only band id wanna see on that list but i saw em last month lol. Was really hoping for Green Day this year as its been 5 years since they last played it but ah well. Dont think i'll be going this year now  . Not wasting 170 quid on this pathetic excuse of a line up.
rich91 Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 yehh the green day playing reading rumers seemed to be squashed months ago..But most places say its cause their doing their own tour instead, so it all works out in the end That line up is still pretty solid though, for me anyway

Ally Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 don't think they will be playing, since the tour is starting in America, i doubt they will come over here for that then go back to start the tour...but i dunno, green day do live in a strange world

But i reckon its pretty much official. Will just have to wait till the arena tour starts in the UK however far away that may be. Just lets be grateful that the new album is on the horizon and Green Day are back on the scene at last!!
klytaemnestra Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 don't think they will be playing, since the tour is starting in America, i doubt they will come over here for that then go back to start the tour...but i dunno, green day do live in a strange world they're touring america in the summer. then in the autumn they're coming over here. reading is at the end of august. it does make sense for them to come here.

Although at least if they don't play Reading they'll still play their own shows, we can be hopeful though EDIT: Something else I found here - that was the prediction though...
greenbear Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I'm sure its in another thread somewhere that they definately won't be playing.

Ally Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 there's still 2010 YAY, and 2011...no next year is more likely i think! They will still be touring then won't they...aren't they touring for 18 months, so that would make any of the festivals highly likely!
Pati. Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 don't think they will be playing, since the tour is starting in America, i doubt they will come over here for that then go back to start the tour...but i dunno, green day do live in a strange world I agree
iLozza! Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I wouldn't want to go anyway, the line up is lame.
Guitar4Girl Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 ^ I agreeI'd probably only go if Green Day were playing, but I suppose it would be better vaule for your money at an actual Green Day gig because it would be only them...
Guitar4Girl Posted March 30, 2009 Author Posted March 30, 2009 Nope, they're not playing.http://www.readingfestival.com/#lineupI've been sat pressing refresh for the last 5 minutes every couple of seconds....
chickin'pickin' Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 You expected them to play Reading this year?Anyways, I think the headliners this year are fantastic! Green who?
Joey Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 The lineup so far is horrific, in my humble and accurate opinion.Where is the fucking rock? Who wants to see Radiohead on a fucking Sunday night?Bring on the Lockup Tent.
clusterbomb Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 i usually go to reading but this year is a no go.seriousley kings of leon, radiohead and arctic monkeys. 3 of the most borring bands ive ever heard. gaslight anthem are the only decent band on the list so far. and for 170 quid its just not worth it.
