Plus, I really found this interesting.The addition seems geared to further pushing Green Day into U2 territory. Billie Joe's apparently going to do less guitar playing and more frontman-ing on this tour. White will play first guitar and Matika will play second and sing high harmonies.Perhaps a sign the band are going ahead with trying to play the entire record at each show, as reported in RS? I don't know...we'll see I guess.Anywho...just thought I would throw this article out there. Enjoy.

I am completely disapointed by the addition of ANOTHER guitar player.. That makes 4, counting Mike Pelino (if he's touring with them) and bj without his guitar just doesn't seem right.I'm very sad.

He played for Billie during certain songs so Billie could interact more with the audience. I kind of hope Billie plays the majority of the songs, thoughAlso no way will it be going onto "U2 territory". Bono just stands there.

He might lessen his load, but I don't think he would abandon it all together.

farley drexel hatcher Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Yeah, it's not actually said he'll be playing less guitar. It's just assumed. He probably won't play certain songs, so he can get out and mix with people, but that's nothing new, he did that on AI.
