Lil Wayne and Green Day

yeah, that's what i was thinking too. i was reading my issue of Rolling stone when i came across this story about Lil Wayne, who happens to be a beloved rapper of mine, playing guitar. in his new album, the Rebirth, he brings in a lot of guitar playing.

Other tracks may include the Auto-Tune heavy "Hot Revolver," which lifts lyrics from Green Day's 1994 jam "Basket Case"; "Little Girl's Eyes," a duet with Lenny Kravitz, and "Fuck Today," a Slayer-meets-N.W.A-sounding cut on which Weezy "rants and raves about what's going on with today's soceity," says Miami producer Infamous, who co-produced "Prom Queen."

not that i'm aware of.

he's a good rapper though.

yeah, but this album is guitar focused.

it's not like he throws a guitar in there everyonce in a while, this album is purely guitar led.

I have never really listened to his music. :)

Yeah I heard about this. Weird

Not a huge fan of Lil Wayne.

But it's definitely interesting.

I'm kinda on the fence with this

I don't really listen to Weezy

But at the same time he's one of the best rappers out there

At the same time I can't stand his voice

So ehh...

Oh Christ I thought that this was going to say that one of GD's new songs was going to feature Lil Wayne

I was like FUCK. NO.

I like the songs I've heard by Lil' Wayne. I'd like to listen to this, see if it's any good. I think mixing rap with some good guitar stuff could come out sounding really cool.

That crossed my mind at first too! I was scared for a second.

Not really random, he's said a few times he likes Green Day ... and if I remember rightly didn't he once work with Rob Cavallo and there were rumours (all false) of a Green Day/lil Wayne collaboration? Maybe i'm thinking of a different rapper

I'm the same.

I can't stand his voice either though, but I do like a few of his songs.

Some are absolutely fantastic.

He is growing on me, but some songs I know I will hate.

I would actually love to hear a Weezy/Green Day collab.

He's an overrated rapper that the uneducated think is good.

He didn't say that Lil Wayne is uneducated. He said those who think he's good are uneducated, I do believe. :)

Nas dropped out of middle school and is considered by many as one of the best. Also, I never said Lil' Wayne is uneducated.

It could be interesting

I'd like to see it happen

Quite possibly the most annoying voice in music right now.
