Fuzz Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 We don't have the dates, don't even have an album yet - but I'm curious on how many of you plan on getting around to see Green Day. Note the question, it's not "Do you want to see Green Day", it's "Are you actually planning on seeing them".I'm hoping to have the fundage to travel to a few spots around the US and see the band. Also hoping to have something GDA-related at each one. Last tour we walked up and down the lines handing out stickers and crap. Hoping this time around we'll organize something a bit bigger. Maybe have some GDC get-togethers, at the show, go somewhere before or after - I dunno.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I hope to head over to the UK and surrounding areas in addition to catching several shows here in the states. I will definitely host a GD meet up here in the middle of the USA when they are on tour.
Hitman Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I most certainly am!I'm not a huge fan anymore, but Green Day is what got me in to music in the first place. They helped change a huge part of my life. I'd love to see them live.
parinaz Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Actually I cant till I come to America for living. it may take 5 years or so. If GD booked any tour in some country near me then it'll be GREAT!
Naked and Famous Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I've seen them twice ~ Once in '98, once...whenever they were on Warped Tour, post-Warning.I was somewhat disappointed by AI, so I didn't go see them when they were in the area ~ I totally regret not going lol.I'm so much planning on going to their next stop in the area that I'm picking up a second job just so I can afford it (well, among other things lol) ~ The first thing I'm saving up for is a ticket *nods*And they better come here!!!Meetups would be sweet, if there's even anyone around here from WNY ~ We could go to Mighty after the show
Rezurgam Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 How much is a ticket on average? I want to go to a Green Day concert but it depends on the location because if they don't play in San Jose, then I'd probably have to drive to San Francisco to see them and I really don't want to do that. >_>
Naked and Famous Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 How much is a ticket on average?Mmm, it's been a while, but I think somewhere in the 25-30$ rangeDon't quote me on that*waits for the quote*
Fuzz Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Mmm, it's been a while, but I think somewhere in the 25-30$ rangeDon't quote me on that*waits for the quote* AI was $45-$55'ish.

Ingrid Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Yes! I'm definitely gonna go to England for a show (because I've always wanted to go there anyway), and if they come to Norway I'm going to that one as well.Apart from that, I'll just have to see what happens. I obviously hope to be going to as many shows as I can afford.
Nova-Caine Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Depending on cash I am hoping to get to as many as I can afford that might be one it might be 10. Original plans were to follow them around the UK and take in one US show, ha if only I'll there about somehow even if someone has to die.
Pineapple Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 oh absolutely, no doubt about it.ive even planed to go like 7 hours early and wait in line to ensure i get at the front.
Ally Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 yes, i've been deterimined to see them since 05 when i couldn't get tickets, so i am def going this time whatever it takes, i've even joined the idiot club to get tickets.
Naked and Famous Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 AI was $45-$55'ish.And there's the quote Wow, 45-55$?!? Thanks for the warning lol
hardtoconcentrate Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I will defnitely be at a show. 100%. They usually only do one show in Ireland so I'll be at that but I also want to go over to England to see them and meet a few GDC people. Looking forward to it
Fuzz Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 And there's the quote Wow, 45-55$?!? Thanks for the warning lolThat's incredibly cheap when other large acts were charging upward of $200+ for floor tickets. And we all know Green Day's showmanship far surpasses any others.

Ayame Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Definitely a yes, but it may also depend on the date...if it's a school night, my mum surely won't let me go and also my money status.
