insanedrummer Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 if they have even seen it....? And also what do they think of Hitchin' a Ride? Because I'm watching it with them tonight and I have the Hitchin a Ride song on my iPod from iTunes...and I know what happens....and I don't know what to say when it comes to that part.... what should I say?By the way I searched. Either my search engine is screwed up or there's not a topic like this.
Joey Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Don't say anything specific to them, just start breathing very deeply and gasping 'oooh Billie'.They'll be delighted.
insanedrummer Posted November 22, 2008 Author Posted November 22, 2008 Don't say anything specific to them, just start breathing very deeply and gasping 'oooh Billie'.They'll be delighted.Hahahahah I can only imagine what my parents' faces would be like!
Jaymee!! Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Haha I don't know what I would do during HAR...probably just start laughing.I have made my parents listen to the live album though, and they both liked Green Day at one point in their lives so they enjoyed it.They had an amazing laugh though when Tre does his little 'YEAH YEAHHHHHH!' during King For A Day.
The Disappearing Boy Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 when my mum listens to the end of st. jimmy, she is like 'billie joe, that is very naughty!'. i know she is only joking, but i think to myself, 'if you think that is naughty...you haven't seen nothin yet!'
Hermione Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Lol I watched it with my mum once ages ago, and she enjoyed it, she was like "I have to admit, he's a great frontman". But now she enjoys taking the piss out of Green Day to irritate me, just as a joke. And she refuses to admit she said she liked it, which is indeed irritating. As for Hitchin A Ride, we had a laugh watching it. I believe she made some dirty jokes about it . If she saw it now she would probably make some mean dirty jokes that involved insulting Billie Joe in some way.
Juan Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 They haven't seen it, I don't plan to play it for them eitherI have no idea what they'd say
chickin'pickin' Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My father was actually there, and he loved it.
Laura33 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My Mum loves it, she asked me to buy her it for Christmas a few years ago.
MindlessZombie Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 They never saw it. My mom did see when Billie was singing King for a Day and she laughed her ass off xD
farley drexel hatcher Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My mum loves it, though i'm not sure how much of the Hitchin A Ride she saw. She'd probably just laugh. She did see that bit where Billie drops his trousers though and had a good laugh at that.
Trotsky Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My mom wouldn't really give a shit and my dad would probably make a comment that Billie Joe looks like a queer.
spark in the night Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 my mom went with me when they played it in theatresshe liked it...I guess
Lizz-eh Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My parents didn't care.My dad loves Green Day as much as I do, so he loved the whole movie and we both started laughing at HAR.I think my mom thought it was funny, but it's hard to tell with her. :/
Morgan7 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I haven't shown any of the stuff like HAR or king for a day yet but:My dad would have a stroke and say that I am never going to a Green Day concert And my mom would laugh and say a Green Day concert sounds fun.
!taste4suicidal! Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 my mom thought it was incredible and the part when Tre does the 'Yeah yeah!' thing in King For A Day/Shout was her favorite part, she loved it so much, she had to rewind it about ten times or so! she thought that he swore way to much though and that the sexual parts were discusting. She also liked all the really emotional parts.and as for the cd, right after we bought it we played it in the van blasting loud, all the way home. We lived half an hour away so it was a pretty intense car ride, all of us were waiting impatiently to get home and watch it. We were all singing along to it so loudly (even my mom) that you could barely even hear Billie Joe's voice! It was insane!
.:Whatsername:. Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My Dad: "Why do they have the talking in between the songs? If I buy a concert DVD I want to watch the concert, not talk to the band after every song!" My Mom doesn't really say much. She likes it, it gets awkward during certain parts, she asks questions, 'tis all good.
Radioactive1 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My parents don't give a fuck. They're not interested in watching it.
rootbeersoup Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My parents were like OMG WHAT IS THIS SHIT WE'RE GOING TO GO VOTE FOR BUSH SOME MORE
Guest Billy Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 my parents have seen it before, without me.my sister was a Green Day fan before dookie, so my parents grew to like the band.i just remember one day coming home and my dad saying "wanna watch Bullet in a Bible?"so they probably like it.
tapdancingowl Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I think your first problem is that you're watching it with your parents. Is there any particular reason you'd do so willingly? My Dad saw BIAB because he took me to a concert, which is essentially the same thing. It was either have him take me or don't go, so I chose the lesser of two evils. Luckily, he didn't feel the need to comment.
Samantha Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My mom loves BIAB After she went with my to a concert she absolutely loves their live show
Guest TwoDollarMellie Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 They've never seen it .But I'm sure if one day, they caught me watching the "Hitchin' A Ride" part, they'd think I was watching porn.......Porn with a man on stage jacking off hahaha.
A song for the lovers Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 my parents never saw this....
Nova-Caine Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 My dad smirked at the Hitchin a Ride bit, just sat there amused that the girls would get worked up about it, he think's they are amazing live, even though he doesn't like the music much. All in all my parents are very open minded but they've had to put up with me listening to Rock music since about 1985 and as I'm an old bird now I can pretty much watch/listen to what I like.x
