captain peroxide Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I dunno if songs from the nineties could exactly be classified as "golden oldies" but who cares?! This is awesome. Another distinction for them
Mato Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 ''Though never released as a single...''What are they talking about? As far as I know, and I know pretty well, Good Riddance was released as a single..but still, nice to hear good stuff 'bout them
**nobodylikesyou** Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 that wasnt a single? Seriously?http://www.greendayauthority.com/TheBand/charthistory.phpit was number 1
sarita Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I dunno if songs from the nineties could exactly be classified as "golden oldies" but who cares?! This is awesome. Another distinction for them Agree. Green Day= Oldies?? But anyways, good for them!
BillieMikeAndTre Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Wow, even after 14 years this song is being added to top 10 lists!!! that's kinda cool...
Mato Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Wow, even after 14 years this song is being added to top 10 lists!!! that's kinda cool...11 years
Nimrod99 Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I think it's great that they made the top 10. Not sure about the "oldies" title though, lol. If that's true, then I must be ancien in my age... haha. They did screw up with calling GR never released, because it was released and also had a music video.
Sanah Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Wtf at the not being a single part. But yes, they definitely deserve it.
ifmemoryserves Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 When I read the "never been released as a single" but I was like... wtf? I was confused there for a second. But yeah, lmao at "golden oldies" I don't think anything from even the 80s is considered an "oldie".
Hermione Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Also, why would they call it golden oldies, and then include the 90s but not the 60s? Anyhoo, still excellent to see the boys recognised, as always.
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 They probably just mean songs that weren't available digitally first time roundI remember when it got into the download charts, around the time AI came out XD.
communitykid Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 You people are fucking stupid.GREEN DAY IS DEFINITELY CONSIDERED OLDIES!!Just like Linkin Park is.^sarcasm^What I'm saying is that if the 90s are considered part of the oldies genre, than LP would have to be too, and that's just funny with the kind of music they put out.
Hermione Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 ^ Linkin Park's first album came out in the 00s
communitykid Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Nope. The Hybrid Theory EP was out in '99...So there.
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 If EPs counted that would make Green Day an '80s band ... XD
communitykid Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 They are. Actually, I base mostly everything off of band formation, not album, nor EP, release.
Towers Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Oldies Songs from the nienties are not old! Still good for GD
Laura33 Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Fucking hell, it has been 11 years since that was released? Jesus.
CarnageXB Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 lol Golden oldies. Sounds like something from the 40's. The only green day song they played at my prom was "Holiday"
Boston Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Oldies? That song was released 11 years ago. When I read the "never been released as a single" but I was like... wtf? I was confused there for a second. But yeah, lmao at "golden oldies" I don't think anything from even the 80s is considered an "oldie".The oldies to me are 50's and back.
