As posted on GDA, Green Day is in the newest Big Cheese Magazine and someone sent in some photos of the article. You can read part of it, but most of it is pretty blurry. If anyone can post some decent scans, I'd really appreciate it.

Here are the photos for those of you interested in trying to read it.

That's a pretty decent read, I might have to try and get myself a copy. I love the little review of Dookie, too.

nice :) - thanks for posting

better than I thought - made me order "Longview" and "when I come around" - I love those covers

Thanks for posting! I agree with them when they wrote, 'The silly in-jokes and level of detail makes it one of those classic album covers you can spend hours staring at.' I always seem to discover something different each time I look at it. I have an A5 sized poster of the cover which makes it a little easier to make out some of the things on there.

Sweet, Thanks for posting.

I wasnt going to order this but looking at it now I`ve decided to. if scans are still needed once it arrives, I`ll get them on my bucket and post links.

Very cool, nice to see their readers clearly have excellent taste to vote for Dookie.

The little pictures of the singles covers are fantastic, I'd never seen them before and I love to see that kind of artwork. The Basket Case cover art is a bit random

Awesome.

I might buy it when it's in the shops.

wow, i missed the FHT articles so maybe i should go out and find Big Cheese to add it to my collection.

p.s. if anybody has extras of FHT rolling stone, i'll gladly buy it lol.

I personally find the never-ending coverage of Dookie annoying.

Eh. I'd rather hear about it than American Idiot.... I love it, but it's been done to death, I guess. Dookie was an important album for people over 25  And still is, to younger folks...

It just seems like everything before Dookie, and everything before American Idiot falls off the earth.

Oh yeah, definitely, I could see that. But those were the platform, so to speak. Those two albums fundamentally turned a lot of folks into Green Day fans, and they're the most widely recognized. Hopefully, people who listen to these will become fans and get the rest of them. Specifically, Nimrod heh My 3rd favorite... :D

I want a review like that for Nimrod. I got the Green Day Transmissions CD thing, and it came with a book that did reviews like that Dookie one with ALL of them EXCEPT Nimrod. They completely left out that album, not even a mention.

At least Nimrod had a greater variety of songs, they won't all contain the phrases "pop-punk gem" "teen angst" or "anthem that chugs along". That was seriously all they said in the Transmissions book for Dookie. :P

^ yea Nimrod > Dookie

im sure though because Dookie & AI are the most "popular" among the lesser-spread fans (whatever that meant, you get what im saying), so that's why they choose to hit on those 2 albums the most.

I think it's because Dookie and American Idiot made the biggest impact by a long shot. Dookie was the breakout album and AI was the comeback album. It doesn't matter how good or bad the albums in between were, those two will always get the most attention for being the two to get the most commercial success.

Yeah, I know, but still. A Nimrod review would make a much better read than yet another Dookie/AI one.

Ooh, I must say, I love the fact that they've got pictures from the Warning booklet there. I don't think I could've coped with that picture of the three of them from AI in a line again.

Meh, I'd rather hear about their other albums too - Nimrod's my favourite. But I love Dookie as well and I never get tired of hearing about it, so the more the better!

thanks, i love how we post the pictures of the pages.

i never have to buy an issue.

i'd much rather hear about insomniac, but obviously their two biggest hits will get the most attention.

I think Warning was underrated, even by me, ashamedly, at the time. It wasn't the normal Green Day, I don't think. But it has since grown on me quite a bit, Castaway being one of my favorite GD songs ever. But at the time? I didn't feel it. I didn't really and truly give it a chance. I also think the older you get, the more your tastes evolve. The more you can appreciate something for what it is instead of what it's not, so to speak.
