kidney Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 ya gotta Green Day mix?I just made this one last week:Going to PasalacquaHitchin' a RideThe GrouchStuck With MeJesus of Suburbia2000 Light Years AwayFashion Victim86ScatteredBlood, Sex, and BoozeWorry RockPlatypus (I Hate You)WaitingLetterbombBrain Stew/Jaded80BasketcaseTake BackPanic SongDry IceI always love hearin' my mix cds of a band right from the beginnin' to the end and hearin' how well it flows.I'm kinda hearin' this particular mix for the first time. I make sure I always adjust the volume of older songs to matchup with the rest of the songs. It has most of my essential Green Day favorites.
Joey Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I've done a few of these over the years. Mostly done them with genres rather than just one band, though.
924Nimrod Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Yeah, doing genre mixes are more fun than just band mixes. I've made some good punk mixes and straight up ska mixes.
Hermione Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I've done it with random music, but I can't make them with Green Day just 'cause I love listening to the complete albums in order so much, so there wouldn't really be much point in it for me. And I would have a serious problem and stress choosing which songs to include - I couldn't handle it!
Jack96 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Ive made a few one of only Green Day and a few of other things
Guest give me novacaine-jos Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 ^^i don't make mixes too. i prefer listening to the whole album each time....

M1KEY Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 When I was younger I made this mix tape of songs from GD's first 4 LP's, starting with a song from 1,039 SOSH, then a song from Kerplunk, and so on, then looping back after Insomniac. When it was done I made an insert that folded out with all the song lyrics and I illustrated it sorta like dookie, with sidewalks and all that shit. haha oh, my Green Day 1990-1995 cassette...

gd_castaway08 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 The closest I come to mixes: playlists on my iPod for different moods, like to go to sleep, pissed off, etc.I did make a couple mixed CD's for some friends a few years ago, though.
Instant Mash Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 I only ever made one, and that was before I had 39/Smooth and Kerplunk. It was just a compilation of the songs I did have from those albums.
