Sooooo I am SO excited about what I found at Walmart yesterday. The official Green Day store was sold out of the American Idiot 20th anniversary red/black splatter print vinyl for MONTHS (looked like they restocked recently, tho), and I found it at Walmart for a dollar cheaper. yyayayy

 It's a dark album disguised as a fun album by the generally upbeat music and the absolutely ridiculous (in a hilarious way) way they promoted it. In my mind, it's like Billie saying "I'm gonna leave this here and create a lot of distraction, in the hope no one will pay attention to the lyrics" 😅

The combination of easygoing catchy melodies and those heavy lyrics is fascinating. In a strange way I love his dark lyrics so much but at the same time I hope Billie has left this state behind him never to visit it again…

I think you guys are right, Foam sounds like a fun album until you listen to the lyrics but I think a lot of Billie’s lyrics are pretty dark, they often do that.

You are right. And I love it. Those lyrics speak to me, I don’t know if this is good or bad or what it tells about me. It just makes me feel very intensely…. But as already said, I think and hope Billie is in a better place now and will stay there!

Damn, those Trilogy vinyl are expensive nowadays 😮
I'm glad I bought the US, European and Hot Topic versions of each of the 3 when they came out. Guess they're in higher demand since not too many people liked the albums or just didn't care.
