jadedghiacand Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I retardedly made a thread on this on the idiot club forum - so i think here its safer. What was the security like at the Green Day show u went to? Where u patted down? Where ur bags opened? etc?The reason for this thread is that some gdc was thinking of bringing perhaps a camcorder to a GD show erm *cough*. when i went it was opening bags but i cant really remember.
Amanda Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 This thread might help http://www.greendaycommunity.org/Forum/ind...c=42015&hl= I think there was another about security and cameras, I'll see if I can find it.

dreamy22 Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 i've never been to a GD show, so I wouldn't know
Parley Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I just had to open my bag and they looked in quickly--never touched anything. I think it was the same at each show I went to. They didn't bother much with me.
FJ Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I got nothing at the ones I went to. One of them, I had a dictaphone in my pocket to record the gig, and they didn't even pat me down. I even had a convincing excuse to use if they patted me and found it!
Beathe. Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Yes. Thosse idiots would never let me go. Like I was fucking Oshama Bin Laden.
katie Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 they used ones of those wands and looked through bagsbut that was two years ago
FruscianteForPrez08 Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I think chicks get an advantage, they look in your purse, but they don't touch anything... all you have to do is stick your cell phone in your pocket and you're set... they patted down my dad though...
randomness Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 it wasn't a GD concert, it was an MCR concert, but they didn't do anything at all. actually i think i might have had to go through some thing to make sure i didn't have anything metal, but if i did that was all.
saurus Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 i have never been to a green day concert so wouldn't know...

I'm glad I didn't bring a video camera, because there would have been no hiding it. But someone who was at my green day concert (in like the second row, too) managed to sneak one it, because I looked my concert up on youtube, and there was video footage from the exact green day concert I went to.
Boston Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 The security at Green Day shows is based 95% on the venue. Case closed.

randomness Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 i don't think it really matters if it was a GD show, it's not like it's different things for all the different bands. the venue's what matters more.
jadedghiacand Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 i see - ill ask my dad - he used to be head of security at wembley - not joking.
Agija Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 i've never been to a GD show, so I wouldn't knowMe neither
randomness Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 haha well your dad didn't do a very good job if he was head in march this year, that's where i went and didn't get searched at all.
MusicalDeviant Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 was this at a green day show??? Yes it was. Two years ago on Tuesday
Sunshine2385 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 I was sarcastic w/ one of them and they seemed kinda irritated but I had to open my bag and they searched, but I didn't have to pull anything out. The rest of the night went smoothly At the weird al show, they didn't search my bag,but the row we were sitting at was near the side exit, and there was a guard there, he wouldn't let us take pictures. The rest of the audience tho was allowed to.

The rest of the audience tho was allowed to. that happened to me at a show at MSG where the floor was seated and everyone in the crowd just stood up on their damned chairs and the security guard kept making the ppl in my row get down but we were in like the 2nd section so we couldn't see crap w/all these ppl standing on their chairs (i'm short to begin w/at 5'1 too)i don't remember being searched b4 going in either... but just in case i brought a disposable camera in case i got caught and had to ditch it...
Sunshine2385 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 I'm 5'4, but as far as not being allowed to take pictures, but letting the rest of the audience enjoy and snap away? Ridiculous!!
TotalBasketCase13 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 We were patted down and cameras weren't allowed in the venue for my show. Meh, I was too far back to take good pics anyways, haha.
