Minna Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Well there's always been talk about a Green Day movie, but the ones rumoured are always documentaries.What do you guys think of Green Day doing a movie that tells their story, where other people play them and it documents their lives and careers in reenactments? I've always wanted the guys to do one of those, but do you think it's too early in their career to do one? Would it be too ambitious? Has there ever been talk about one of these being made?EDIT: I guess I didn't make it clear enough- I'm not talking about a feature film where the guys act, I'm just talking about a biographical movie. Don't know where you guys got that from...

Look at the Kiss movie and The Beatles' movies, and tell me that Green Day making a movie would be a good idea. The only good rock movie I've ever seen has been Rock 'N Roll High School with The Ramones, and I don't think that type of excellence can be duplicated. I'm not saying it would be pretentious for them to make it because it's a fact that they're famous, successful, and important to the music industry, but I don't think it would be very good. If they ever did make one though, I'd go see it, and hopefully be proven wrong.

I love Green Day, but movies like that just tend to bastardize what you love. If it was done right, and there wasn't a bunch of crap thrown in for shock factor, then it could actually be okay. I guess we won't know until it happens... and I kind of hope it doesn't happen, haha.

I think Green Day should stick to being in movies like "The Simpsons." The only issue with the "Simpsons" is that a lot of people were glad Green Day died in the movie. I don't know how it would turn out. :/
